Top title says it all. Typically, I would post this in project recruitment, but since so far this has largely been a solo undertaking, I must follow the guidelines of that forum section and post my request here.
What am I looking for?
- a pixel artist (I think that's the term) to design character sets for original characters. Character concepts for these characters are currently being designed by a commission artist I hired. Upon their completion, I will need character sets done. These sets would have to include various seperate poses, such as: standard walking (obvious), diagonal walking, in pain, death, status ailment, attacking, item use, magic use, dodging, jumping, etc. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list, just examples of what I would need. I prefer them to NOT be in the default RTP style. For reference, the current placeholder character sets I'm using are kaduki character sets. Something similar to that. I'm not asking for his style directly. They can be taller (though probably not by much). If you are interested, please provide a link to samples of your work (or provide them here).
- a sprite artist (again, I hope I'm using the right terminology.) - I require animated sprite battlers to be used for enemies. If you have seen Holder's work, something similar to that. I'm not asking for a copy of his style, just giving a reference to an example of what I'm looking for. If you are interested, please provide links to samples of your work (or provide them here).
- another writer with whom I can discuss the script and plot of Whispers of Eternity. Being a solo project, and the scope of a project I'm aiming for, I'm bound to mess something up. I'm looking for someone with whom I can go over the fine details of the main story arc, help with creation of filler story, and assist with the creation of "Tales of" style "skits". For those unfamiliar, skits are little side conversations, 1 to 2 minutes in length, and are generally used to lighten the mood, provide additional story detail, or as comic relief. Generally, they are completely optional to watch, but can really flesh out the story even more.
- and experienced scripter - or at least somebody familiar with RGSS3 and can help me solve a problem I'm having with the creation of my battle system (note: I use this term lightly, as it is really just a conglomeration of many different scripts from other scripters.) I will go into detail if someone interested replies.
For the art, I am willing to pay for work completed. I am for the writing, as well, depending on how involved you decide to become. For the scripter, if what I envision isn't currently possible with current scripts, I will pay to have what I need done, provided that it is possible to do in RPG Maker.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I look forward to hearing from you.
