Project development is a forum designed for the promotion and release of amateur game projects. This is also the place to ask for feedback from fellow amateur game designers. Projects posted in the Project Development board must be your own creation.
Threads posted in Project Development Forum will enter a moderation queue and not appear until it is accepted by Archeia_Nessiah or a GMod/Admin. Threads will be accepted or denied based on how well they meet the rules and guidelines. Give at least 3 days before inquiring as to the state of your thread, and address all concerns to a Gmod/Admin.
The Project Development boards is for ideas that are fully formed, NOT a forum for brainstorm whatever you put down. The ideas and such you have are great, making a thread about them is not. That is what the irc and PMs are for. This is a forum for a formed project that is PAST THE IDEA STAGE and what is to be expected on the final product of your game.
This is a forum, you don't need to race against time and post an incomplete topic. Take your time! This is basically advertising your game, don't put up a horrible first impression. Present yourself professionally!
Requirements to Open New Thread
-Story Synopsis. A story synopsis of at least 300 words is required. This includes characters, world building and so on. It doesn't have to be extremely detailed, just type in what you think is important for the player to know. I also encourage everyone not to build a wall of text, let the game show it!
-Screenshots. At least a minimum of 3 screenshots is encouraged. Title Screens and Game Over Screens are NOT counted as screenshots.
As this is a forum, you have all the time in the world to prepare your topic and show us some screenshots and/or gameplay footage. Please do not put them as a "second" thought or a late add-on. They are a MUST as said in the rules. Otherwise, expect them to get rejected in the future without any PM from me. This is for everyone.
Rules For Project Development Forum
The following rules will override any Board Rules.
The game must be made with either RMXP/RMVX/RMVXAce/IGM.
Tag your topics properly. There are images available to appear on the side of your topic, please follow the tagging guide! This is important for organization purposes and to move your demos to the correct subforum. Thank you~
1) Do not spam
This also applies to everywhere else but don't make pointless post. The following are considered spam:
- One word post like: Cool, great, lol,...
- Flaming such as the "your graphic sucks", "am not gonna play this", "I died on the first fight, thanks for nothing."
- Posts that aren't that much of an update for your game such as, "I added a fifth elemental spell!"
- bump! Bump! Bumpity Bump!
This will be met with a warn. Even if it's your first post, you should read the rules.
A good constructive post will be as follows:
You project looks interesting and i really like the new face sets. Moreover, i would also like to point out that there is some error in your mapping such as the upper cliff which should be placed on the second layer. Am looking forward for this game nonetheless.
2) No Double Posting
It's annoying and it eats space unnecessarily. Unless you are the topic creator, do not double post. The edit button is here for a reason. Also, topic creator should only double post to bump there thread when they add new content/update to the thread and double posts for content should NOT be in less than 24 hours. If your thread is already at the top then just edit your last post instead of double posting.
A good critique should point out a flaw in design, implementation, or technique. If you don't want your work subject to an experienced developer looking it over and letting you know what would work, fit, or look better you may as well post your project somewhere else. Improvement of your project via information, feedback, and input from your peers is what this site is for.
4.) Your game must be in English.
The Board Guidelines still applies.
