im sorry if this has been talked about but how do u make layers see i want to put one tree down then put another one next to it with out drawing the trees again together for a new tile set an

You can overlap trees by making the part that you want to be on top as an event. However, don't do this too much or else your game will lag. Also there are overlapping trees included in the tilesets, as mlogan has stated, so why not use those? If overlapping trees aren't what you want, then please clarify on what exactly do you need help with.

Yep, Ace (or VX) isn't as flexible here as XP was. If you want overlapping trees, but they're not already provided in the tileset, you'll have to resort to events as DarkSwordsman says, or create your own in the TileE graphic. I prefer to do the latter as it doesn't affect game performance.

hmm ok
yes i was talking about overlapping items so like if u have a wall and u want to put a items infront of it and it would better thank u every one this is def not what i wanted to do lol but

@komothoes: RPG Maker uses a tilebased grid of 32x32 pixels, meaning overlapping things can be quite difficult when you need to sparse out tiles every 32 pixels. If you truly want to put things wherever you want, read up on parallaxing.
