Do you mean overlapping the trees? You can't, unless you use the built in tiles in Outside B where they are already overlapped or if you do it in an outside program.

You can overlap trees by making the part that you want to be on top as an event. However, don't do this too much or else your game will lag. Also there are overlapping trees included in the tilesets, as mlogan has stated, so why not use those? If overlapping trees aren't what you want, then please clarify on what exactly do you need help with.

Yep, Ace (or VX) isn't as flexible here as XP was. If you want overlapping trees, but they're not already provided in the tileset, you'll have to resort to events as DarkSwordsman says, or create your own in the TileE graphic. I prefer to do the latter as it doesn't affect game performance.

@komothoes: RPG Maker uses a tilebased grid of 32x32 pixels, meaning overlapping things can be quite difficult when you need to sparse out tiles every 32 pixels. If you truly want to put things wherever you want, read up on parallaxing.
