Celeste is a bright new star, born to the heavens after centuries of changeless existence. She is a herald and a first of many new stars to grace the night sky. As the entire city prepares for a grand banquet to celebrate the ushering of a new era, Celeste must go on a quest to discover what kind of a star she really is. With companions from every star guild, Celeste will visit the small world of Espea and grant the wishes of many creatures.

Espea:
On the edge of the great universe, Espea is a small and quiet world. Its inhabitants include humans, animals and a few of the elder races (Elves, Dwarves and Elementals). The most notable location of Espea is the Star Temple, a place dedicated to the worship of stars. It is through here that Celeste and her companions can descend from/ascend to their star city.
Starlight Lake:
A great city, located high up in the heavens. Built in the middle of a great self-replenishing lake, this city is the home to all stars.

- This is an adventure game without any battles, as such, the emphasis is on exploration.
- Multiple endings, tying into the relationship with your fellow party members.
- Alchemy crafting system.
- Field skills and character traits that affect game progression.

Thank you! It's a visually-oriented game, so far. I'm definitely working on adding enough gameplay-related elements to make it fun.

Thumbs up for an adventure game without battles. I love seeing a break from the "RPGs must have battles" trope.

I am a huge fan of the adventure genre (particularly the point-and-click adventures) and no battles just fit my setting perfectly. I'm so glad to hear there are players who also appreciate "no-fight" scenarios.

@Celianna:
Thanks! It'll be a challenge, that's for sure. Battles are an instant element of gameplay, so I have to make sure to add more things for the players to do. I definitely don't want it to seem like it's just a cinematic where you get to walk around for no particular reason. XD

@mlogan:
I'm devoting as much time as I can to making a demo. I do hope I can finish it up in 2 weeks - though no promises, there. I suck at ETAs. XD

Well, guess I'm a little late to the party. It looks very cute and cool so far, the characters are amusing. The emphasis on favorite foods suggests this will have gameplay ramifcations? Or maybe it's just cute.

I like the no-fights adventure approach too. I think a lot of us who work hard on the traditional RPG format for years start to find that appealing. When giving feedback about games, a lot of players harp on battles endlessly at the expense of things like story and other gameplay elements. The end-boss battles in MotW Arc VII absolutely stole the show when players gave us their two cents. I still don't really have a concrete idea of what the playerbase thought of the actual story content! With a game like this though, it forces the attention elsewhere. Looking forward to finding out more and hoping TUAH can co-exist peacefully with this one. ;)

It's funny, I read your post just as I was making a blog entry about TUAH in my developer blog. XD
The favorite foods (along with favorite colors and hobbies) will be gifts that you can give to your party members or to yourself. They will affect relationship level(s) or they may raise certain stat parameters. :)

There will be other things that you can do, but that's the core of it, yes. :)

Cute project here Lunarea, I like the concept of "no battles" just adventure and you made it make sense as well... Gotta see how this game turns out :)
