I'm now doing some battle mechanics for Ace, and making a multiple-battles control, so You can change battle mechanics ingame.
I have just finished 3 battle types: Charge Turn Battle, Turn Based Battle and a version of Press Turn Battle. However, that PTB is not included here because personal reasons.
1, Charge Turn Battle:
This Battle is alike Final Fantasy Tactics series or Final Fantasy X. There is nothing much, just a quick version of ATB, which You don't have to wait for ATB Filled Up.
2, Turn Based Battle:
An edited version of Default Battle, which You can individually choose action for actors.

How to Use
You have to copy Battle Control script along with Battle Types which You like. Set DEFAULT_BATTLE_TYPE in Battle Control or use script call BattleControl.change_btype(type) to change Battle Type.
Well, This Battle Control I made is for my engine at first. However, Coders can make their own Battle Types using this script form.
