I often lose Confidence, Recently I posted my Lotus Magi Saga game only to look at other games placed on the site and then i got discouraged seeing how amazing everyone's games were compared to mine.
When you lose confidence how do you get it back?

Give yourself time to develop your project and keep learning. As you get more experience with the RPG Maker and as you start understanding different game development theories, your project will look a lot better.

Guess I am just bothered by things like scripts, I am determined to make my own scripts and not use ones made by others, However nothing is working well, I can't even figure out how to make a Battle HUD
Yanfly has a great set of scripts that can be edited to suit your tastes. Editing a script will help you learn more about scripting in general, plus Yanfly's scripts are free to use for commercial as well as non-commercial projects. You just need to mention he made them in the credits.
Think of using others scripts as using their engine. A lot of pro games are made with the Unreal engine. Not everyone builds a game's engine from the ground up (and it's not recommended.) So don't feel bad.

Plan your game before you start building. Construction workers don't build a house without a blueprint. Be the architect before you slap on the hard hat.

So you might think yours looks like crap right now, but if you keep working on it, it will get there, eventually. The most important thing though, is to actually finish it, which not a lot of people can do. And if you do happen to finish it, you get boasting privileges.

Looking for major differences is my starting point
Are their games more heavily customised ie. Graphics, scripting etc...
Do I find their story compelling and continually wanting to make me play more?, What is grasping the player?
Simple things that can make all the difference aswell, minor details here and there that can just add to the gaming experience always make me want to find ways to improve on them.

Granted, some of the feedback is entirely someone's opinion and preference coming through, so you don't have to try and follow it all. But it's good to see people going into explanations of WHY something would improve a map.
Even those who have amazing mapping skills are always trying to make their next map better than their last
