A soul... What is a soul ?
Does a soul represent who a preson is ?... Does a soul shape a person's life ?

If a soul doesn't belong in it's place... Does the soul leave it's possessor ?
Can one's soul be killed ? Or is it eternal ?

20 year old Gakushi has been taken from his parents at the age of 5, from the Demons. Both his mother and father have been killed by the Demons
15 years later, Gakushi became a Soul Killer, a Demon who kills all Souls judged to disrupt the Demons. Day after day, would follow the orders his "father" (the Demon God) who give him.
Since his parent's death, Gakushi started remembering back moments of his childhood, when he was still with his parents. Even if the Demon God would do anything to stop it, the memories would always come back.
One day, the Demon God (his "father") ordered him to kill a Soul who resembled the woman in his dreams (which was his mother). On the moment, he saw in his mind, the moment of his parents' death. He refuses the mission, and rebels against his "father", but got kicked out of the Demon World, and is now in the Soul World, where all Souls live (in other words, the Human World).
Because of being a Demon, Gakushi did not know all the different aspects of being an ordinary Soul. He will have to learn these aspects again, and solve the mystery of his memories.

Behavior : Firm, mean, naive, but eventually changes, and learns how to be a real Soul

Background : Gakushi is the main protagonist of the game. He's been taken from his parents when he was 5 years old, and was later sent to the Soul World. He now has to learn how to live in the Soul World.
Akasuki
Age : 20 years old
Class : Death Mage
Behavior : A little nicer than Gakushi, but still pretty firm. She has a small rivalry with Gakushi, but still protects him, because of his past
Weapon : Staff, Claws, Hammer
Combat Type : High MAT, but low ATK
Background : Akasuki is a young girl born in the Demon World. Her parents are unknown, since they died after her birth. Since then, she learns Death Magic, so that one day, she can find a spell to revive them. She's also the opposite twin sister of Ayame.
Ayame
Age : 20 years old
Class : Soul Healer
Behavior : Really nice and calm, she doesn't like violence. She's pretty pacifist
Weapon : Spear, Hammer, Bow
Combat Type : High MAT and MDF, but low ATK and DEF
Background : Ayame is a young girl considered like "God's Messenger". She communicated with Heaven, and revives Soul that have been killed. She wants to revive her own parents. She also looks a lot like Gakushi's mother when she was younger, which explains why Gakushi doesn't want to kill her. She's also Akasuki's opposite twin sister.

Seshiru
Age : 40 years old
Class : Assist
Behavior : Very serious, he doesn't like to laugh. He's also very discrete

Combat Type : Unknown
Background : Seshiru is a Demon with remarkable fighting techniques. He once was the General of the Demon's Army, but left secretly due to the injustice he was getting. Since then, he hides and lives in the Dark Souls Forest.
Battsu
Age : 22 years old
Class : Assist
Behavior : Happy and optimistic, he's very adventurous. He loves to help people out
Weapon : /
Combat Type : Unknown
Background : Battsu is a young man whose parent's and village was destroyed by the Demons. He then escaped, in hope to find a refuge with his chocobo. He finally finds a village, and lives there.
Tina
Age : 18 years old
Class : Assist
Behavior : Determined and friendly, she always ready to help a friend out
Weapon : Apokaripusu
Combat Type : Unknown
Background : Tina was once controlled by the Soul Kingdom to fight the Demons, and other enemies to the kingdom. She managed to escape from the Kingdom's possession, and now hides from them.

Soul Killer
These Demons are trained since their youngest age to become Soul Killers. They kill anyone who can disrupt the Demons...
Death Mage
These Death Mages learn Death Magic. They are trained to the max to later become Master Death Mages...
Soul Healer
These Souls have the duty to revive fallen Souls. If they are trained enough, they can communicate with God, if they have been purified before...
Art of Death
This art has stayed secret for ages. Demons say that you can only learn this art if you have killed a certain amount of Souls...
Items
Crystals : These crystals contain out-of-the-world powers. They can only be found at a certain point in the game, through various missions, etc... They can greatly increase your ATK, DEF...
Misc
Save : You have the possibility to save any time you want, but it will be restricted if it is abused (as in, you use it to boost, or cheat...)
