Leeloo Dallas, multipass.
Absolutely. I've Seen it probably a million times. But i am a huge Fan of Luc Besson in General. Did you know, that he wrote the script for the movie, when he was 17?
Wow! Really? I didn't know that. That's pretty impressive. I loved the strange mix of science and the supernatural in the story. My favourite aspect of the film, however, is probably its depiction of futuristic cities. Even now, I wish for the future will be like that. xD
If you are into manga you might enjoy the works of tsutomu nihei. He used to be an architect before he started creating manga and his city designs are outstanding but very dystopian. Blame! And biomega would be good examples.
Just opened the topic of my new game! Check it out if you have the time^^
Finally posted the full OST for my game. It's about 1 hour and 45 mins of orchestral tracks that I composed.
Oh, you're one skilled mushroom!
Thanks! I've been composing for some time, but you can hear the difference in quality between some tracks because I got better and better every time I composed a track lol. I call this phenomenon skill inflation.
playing gran turismo 2
Awesome! My favourite GT game.
I like almost all the GT games honestly. I have collected all the main entry ones from GT1 to Sport.
How typical: Summer vacation's nearly over, and only now do I get the itch to work on my project again.
It's never too late to work on your game!
If you only work when you get an itch youll never finish.
Instrumental music - the best kind of music to listen to when working on your projects.
Music seems like something people don't even register consciously when watching movies/playing games, even if it's the easiest and default way to set the mood, I think.
A lot of scenes would be so awkward without music - remember a scene - three people staring at each other for 5 minutes, just the camera changes. But since there was a soundtrack that made it mysterious/epic, it wasn't such bother watching it.
Yeah, music and sfxes often fall into that categorgy of things that you don't notice when it's done well, but which you notice if it's bad or missing entirely. Take footfall sounds, for example, it's not something you tend to praise or even notice in a game, but it's something people notice when a game doesn't have them.
And, as you said, music can be, and often is, the main reason we feel certain emotions in a game or film. Music has a powerful effect on us. Music can make us feel things, or even recall old memories. Would your favourite emotional scene from a game be as powerful without the music and sound design? Probably not.
Been taking break from making my game... Now to try and get back into it. *eek!*
I guess most of us can relate to that a good and up to date documentation of your thoughts is crucial, especially when you're not voluntaruly taking that break.
Practicing in map making today. Still need grass, flowers and more but I'm getting there https://i.imgur.com/JGDjgAL.png
Thanks for the advice. It makes sense and I will try to do that later
Looks like a fun map to explore! ^_^
Thank you, glad to hear that
Looks great! Cars and babes - going back to the basics. xD
Changing the facial expressions of sprites really makes a difference.
Yeah, I agree with you on giving up at certain things. While it's great to try to do things by yourself, you just can't learn everything - sometimes you just need to find somebody who does it better than you so you can focus on who you can do.
I'm certainly not going to learn how to compose music for example, because that would be hopeless. xD
Sticking to only doing character faces/busts and simple edits, because that's what I'm alright at.
Exactly and it's fine to find someone who is really good at it to make it for you. I won't make music either, no way I can't sprite.
I can make simple edits as well, so I will stick with that. Not sure about character faces, I can't make busts that's for sure but I'm kinda okay with faces
First big plugin is coming along really well! 800 lines of code in, still a bit more to go
Started a page for Art-Requests!~ https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/lillys-art✨atelier✨.112372/#post-994778
Finally approaching my first big milestone, the first (small) demo of Dragon's Dawn should be coming soon!
It's a pity we don't have a compatible printer. We'd be stocked for months with printer toners otherwise... For free.
Its too hot for a blanket, and too cold to go without >~<
Cover just your feet with the blanket, and maybe up to the knees. Goldilocks zone.
I can't sleep without a blanket. Even if it's too hot to actually cover myself with it, I still snuggle up to it. Trying to sleep without it just feels strange, wrong even. xD
Flat bed sheet. Keeps the air from directly touching you but doesn’t trap anything. Still allows for me to curl up into a wadded up mass of bedding...which is apparently important to me.
Stream will be live shortly with a session of the Interactive Text Adventure! Feel free to drop by!
The guy from "New Radicals", who sang "You Get What You Give" wrote a LOT of famous hit songs... Holy crap, he's amazing with lyrics.
That time when you are really interested to know more about the makers of some masterpiece and discover a whole artistic horizon from their vision.
It's pretty great, to be honest. "Oh, this guy was in these bands, that's why they sound similar, and still badass". It's pretty interesting stuff.
Doctor: It's just a headache. Google: You have 40 different diseases. Moral of the story: Always consult an expert and not the internet.
and at the other end of the spectrum, depending on where you are and who the doctor is, "it's just a headache" is never just a headache.
The problem is, too many diseases have similar possible symptoms. Not to wonder, there are symptoms that are common. Headaches are common. Fevers are common - the body raises temperature to build white blood cells etc. more easily.
Chest pains = anything related to chest. Difficulty with breathing - a lot of possible culprits. Mouth, nose, neck or lungs. Or poison/nerve system damage.
Ten different diseases with possible symptoms similar to autism, because they behave slightly differently.
Just finished watching Mary Shelley's Frankenstein starring Robert De Niro. Still love it! Might watch Shadow of the Vampire now.
Supporting a great game and a good friend. Go get it on steam you all xD
I shall offer 120 shillings for this fine product.
Thanks a lot for the support! This community has been so supportive!
