  • There's never been an event that makes me wanna drop my game more then today. Github decided it didn't like half my changes and now I have to remake them. Isn't this what GitHub was built to prevent!? :kaosigh:

    yes, but versioning depends on configuration.
    and why would you have to remake the changes? you should still have the local copy that you failed to manually upload to github.
    NEVER use any form of cloud service with automated sync on any project of any RPG-Maker, because the editor does not use regular file saves but databasing file access.

    Something I thought about was doing a trade in the classifieds or something. I should check more often, but a lot of times people who offer beta testing want some silly like art back as the trade. I'm also afraid to trade because my demo is short and I don't want to get stuck with a huge game to test, heh.
    Anyway, in a perfect world we should be trading, I say!

    It's mostly luck, and some marketing in the right places. Frankly I don't know what those places are quite yet, but I got people to play my game because it was played by Studio Blue. I also revamped a massive amount of it because of that, but I'm happy about it.

    huh who knew that getting next to no sleep and then working a 12 and a half hour day (counting sports and gamedev) with little to no breaks and very minimal self care would make ya end up sick? :kaoswt2:

    yeah they do need some new coloring but all in all I think they look pretty good! They're supposed to feel mostly red and orange-y though
    no I did not just have to write a song three different times because my music software doesn't support tempo changes!!

    if you were working on a rhythm-based retro fighting game, would you rather have the jumps take up two beats (one for jumping, one for landing) or just one?

    What purpose do jumps serve in the game? If they're meant to work like jumps in conventional fighting games (a committal movement option that enables air actions), you will likely find that 1 beat will quickly limit how high your BPM can realistically go.

    @sunnyFVA, currently the jump is an evasive move that can combo into arials by pressing the relevant attack button on the next beat

    THinking of changing our studio name... currently we've got "Zephyr Games" but I was thinking something more along the lines of humorous names, sorta like Celeste dev's "Extremely Ok Games"... any ideas?

Rendering the intro for the 4 time today, everytime it finished I noticed something that I found off and had to fix it and render it all over again...
Would not be so bad if it was not for my PC having the speed of a slug.:kaoswt2:
Tried something. Little sneak peak of Unity AD.

It's the little things. Lengthened the time the bar fades in and out to be a bit more comfortable.
