    I had to "Old Yeller" my old laptop, a laptop that has given me a decade of entertainment, became the ultimate retro console thanks to emulators, and has allowed me to pursue my dream of being a game designer with both RPG Maker & SMBX. Now, ALL of that work, is gone. This is not how my 40th birthday should be. I am dead inside now. I just don't give a **** about anything anymore ;_;

    I did manage to salvage the hard drive disk, but considering I smashed the laptop repeatedly with a hammer, I'm not sure if the HDD still works. I've ordered a SATA to USB connector which is due to arrive in 2 weeks. If the HDD is still ok, I may be able to recover all my files.

    I'm no expert, but hitting your laptop with a hammer is probably a bad idea, or at least worse than not hitting it with a hammer.

    It was already malfunctioning; CPU spazzing out, randomly shutting off (no Blue Screen of Death), etc. Hence, why I said that I had to "Old Yeller" my laptop, because like Old Yeller, it had an incurable disease & needed to be "put down". I was just not in the mood to put up with its **** on my 40th B-day, my local Walmart was already ruining it with their slow & stupid BS.

    Yeah. I've gone back to drinking coffee again, so I have to make sure not to OD on it again. Anti-Anxiety meds works wonders for mental health, albeit some side effects.

    I have really bad anxiety. I get chest pain, numbness, high pulse, feeling of horror etc. Paxil helps me hold onto my job. I had to go off coffee completely though. Even decaf started giving me trouble. It is scary. Glad you are doing better :)

    My days feel like they're numbered. Its getting harder & harder to physically do things. My doctor has referred me to a cardiologist.

    Nothing that normally made happy could snap me out of it. I ended up cutting my arms (just scratches) with my knife, its never been that bad. I finally snapped out of it, don't know how. I'm fine now but if keeps occurring, I don't how long I have left.

    I'm glad that you were able to snap out of it (and that your breathing/asthma is under control). Unlike the panic attacks and asthma flare-ups, I haven't had to suffer with that kind of depression so I can't fully understand what it's like. I know it must be so terrible.

    All I can offer is the advice to remember, during those times, that you always eventually snap out of it somehow, even if in the moment it doesn't seem like you ever will... and also to remember that there are people in a lot of spheres of your life - this forum just being one of many - who truly want you to make it through and be okay.

    My laptop is fixed & I have internet at home now. Too bad my TV crapped out though :( Now I don't have a 2nd monitor to work with.

    My laptop is out of commission again, so I'm on hiatus until I save up the money (no income) to fix or replace it.

    It kept being unresponsive while playing a video. I have a NASTY temper when it comes to electronics not working right. My rage got to the point of picking it up & slamming it back down, which apparently wrecked the screen.

    Can't believe I just turned 34 recently & so close to having a heart attack. If my activity ceases for more than a month then that means I'm dead

    I'm sure you've gotten a ton of advice, but there are diets to really help reduce your chance of a heart attack (literally called the heart attack diet). Be safe.
