  • In quarantine, will be tested soon. This year is really something... special.
What kinds of tutorials would you like to see in the future?

Mapping with cliffs sounds like a good idea :)

How to make that game is actually pretty easy: Step one - Summon a demon and sell your soul

I have some ideas on how to make that kill quest, will keep that in mind^^

You mean, tiles or sprites? They have very different workflows for me - I don't even use the same program usually for them ;3

Will keep that in mind, thank you^^

Both tiles and sprites, actually! I thought the ways you used the head variations to create different actions was super clever. But in terms of what I'd like to see a future tutorial on, I was thinking of tiles.
So, I now know the first person with covid and had contact with someone who had contact with that person. Hello self-isolation.

I work in hospitals and have been in contact with a number of co-workers who ended up testing positive. The CDC pretty much gave up on the self-isolation for healthcare workers since we wear masks anyhow. Add in the fact that there have been multiple times where people who were found to be positive but wearing a mask never infected any of the hundreds they came in contact......
I am the only person left working in my section of the campus in the early evening. Given that its now dark super early, I feel totally weird, wandering through an empty dark campus.

Do you have security people who can walk with you? When I was at uni (both as a student and as staff), if you were working alone late at night, you could call security and they would see you safely to your car. I never needed to, but it was good of them to have it available. Don't fall into thinking it only happens to other people.

I am careful, it is a very small campus and my bus stop is close to it. I just start to feel more and more like visiting a lost place than an university... today I was the only person to eat lunch at that time in our canteen.

Hope it gets better, best wishes.
Before Corona I would have said I am an introvert that barely needs to see anyone. Oh I was so wrong.
Asked a child in the bus if it would pull its mask up and the mom who sat somewhere else started yelling at me and promising that she would curb stomp me if I ever dare to do that again.

@Avery Unfortunatly, you'll meet many people like that. They don't care. Perhaps they think the virus isn't real, maybe they think it won't get them, or perhaps they just don't like being told what to do. Whatever the reason, they exist and they're not going away. It sucks.

Regardless of the fact that it is a child or they might have a reason (like respatory problems) not to wear a mask simply asking/telling someone in a normal way to put their mask on shouldnt envoke said response. Period

People are just silly with how they are handling this. I developed a sinus infection yesterday and to be safe I told work I was going to do remote teaching rest of the week in case we're wrong on what it is as some of the symptoms are very similar. And all work said was please do.
The semester start has been a total trainwreck and chaos, but at least I'll finally be a Bachelor of Science (if I don't mess up on wednesday)
After only 6 changes in my shedule, the thing is still temporary. Everytime someone asks me when I am free, I can only say "I don't know yet"

I thought not knowing my Saturday schedule until Friday was bad but that sounds super frustrating. :(
The only part of the advent calendar that is missing is the content for christmas. And I am clueless af xD

You've been doing this for years, it's gotta be hard to come up with something new. I wanna draw some new tiles for halloween and I've already made everything I've come up with.

Ideas, ideas. . . . Bûche de Noël, Santa Lucia crown, Gingerbread house, spindle style tree ornaments, a bulb from christmas lights (working and broken), the string of christmas lights, a tinsel garland. Shoot, now I want to make a game where you decorate your house.
Mail from campus: we will have the lessons this semester not remote, if possible. All my my profs: Remote it is.

I hope the university doesn't change their mind in middle of midterm exams. That is going to be a disaster for everyone.

So glad I'm not in school right now, I remember feeling gipped by online classes with absent teachers when I was in school a decade ago, can't imagine how bad it is now with everyone having to do it that way.

I’ve been on break from college for a year now, and though for unrelated reasons, it was well timed to avoid COVID in the area.
Sometimes I edit stuff so long that I wonder if I had been faster starting from scratch...

Indie devs will never be fast. Quality is more important - in the final iteration. Minimum viable product will save time in short term development cycles.

Sometime editors will put so much notes on your manuscripts that you'll wonder why they didn't write the thing on their own XD.

Just finished composing a boss battle theme!
Scripted a multi-variable weather system that randomizes wind speed, cloudiness, rain, fogginess, etc, while attempting to realistically account for interactions between them (e.g. wind speed affects fogginess, cloudiness affects rain, etc), the current weather pattern, and the player's biome e.g. swamp, beach, etc. Now I "just" have to tie visuals and sounds to the variables so stuff actually happens...
I'm having a headache balancing the combat using flat defense so I'm gonna use percentual armor, in this pic, Simon has 16 on Defense which means all the incoming damage will be reduced by 16% this will ease my burden a bit.
!Have a nice day everybody¡
SO glad they patched outer worlds for switch! I can finally play it! Weird that other peeps are still having issues. I know it was really chugging on my lite when it first came out.
