    Me and my friend got into one of our usual discussions after I reccomended him a game, and I remember the last time we had a discussion like that, he disabled his FA account. This time, I found myself constantly checking my friends account hoping it wouldn't happen again. ...But it didn't.

    The thing is... I just can't lie about my feelings, sometimes. :(

    Basically, it's a fan of Anthropomorphic characters. Generally, someone who draws them or makes costumes. Some even make animations, videogames, etc. starring anthropomorphic animals.

    Honestly, I cannot stop thinking about the whole elves vs anthros argument I had a while ago, because apparently I'm supposed to prefer what are usually elitist superhumans who "care about nature" but never actually do anything for it and live where nature is effectively stealing from nature over colorful, diverse and aesthetically entertaining animal designs because most people don't write well or care about looks.

    If anything, the things I complain about on a regular basis aren't as bad as they used to be, but I still always feel kind of frustrated over it.

    Sometimes I do the same. Sometimes I post, then wish I didn't. Then it pops up 5 years later, when I'm having a hard time trying to get to sleep, just so I can think about it some more - and still not sleep. And I still wish I didn't post :)

    That sounds like something that's better off talking to an actual personal friend about something that's bugging you in life, rather than thrusting it at the anonymous Internet. Or, if they're things that bother you regularly, possibly to a therapist who can help you (obviously I have no idea what the actual topics you're thinking about are).

    To me it felt like the writer watched too much Ancient Aliens.
    (Just before watching Cystal Skull I had recently been in the hospital after a surgery... AA had a marathon on SyFy & was the only remotely interesting thing on.)

    Don't get me wrong. My issues with the film had very little to do with the alien themed plot concept. There were a million other cringe-worthy problems that were more aligned with bad writing, bad acting...bad choices in general.

    @Kyuukon It really is that simple. There's stuff out there for everyone. There's no need to rant and rave about others enjoying characters that are familiar, and certainly no need to make an unfounded claim that people like what they like because they're malicious.

    Also, I don't care how much lore elves have. Magical humans that live longer and different lives are still humans IMO. It's not "lack of knowledge," just hoe I feel.

    A while ago, I had a talk with my friend about something that greatly upsetted him, and I worried that we couldn't make that friendship work. Now that feeling is stronger than ever. :(

    I used to have a dear friend on Facebook and deviantART. We shared a lot of the same opinions and virtue, but someday is, she would become so pessimistic that nothing I said could cheer her up. Now another friend is making me feel like I am becoming that person, and I don't want to become that person.

    It's okay for people to be negative. And it's okay for you to just accept that, and not try to change anything, or cheer them up. :kaopride:
    Pessimism comes from trying to change or manipulate things you don't have control over.
    So don't try to control these sort of things, and just accept them. And you won't end up becoming pessimistic. :LZScheeze:

    You WILL become like them if you continue to spend time with them and they don't change. If you can't cheer them up and they continue down that path, you will be doing yourself a favor to spend less time with them. Been there, done that. Tried to "fix it", didn't work, and the attitude was rubbing off on me. Such a relief to get myself out of the whole situation.

    by now, I think most people know that I hate misanthropic bad guys, but I realize one more reason I hate them so much is because the motive is easy and takes no thought to come up with. It's actually more challenging to create a villain that doesn't have that motive.

    It's very common for sure. It's much more interesting for the player to have a deeper connection with a major antagonist instead of them just generally keeping to themselves and hating people just because.

    Well, you know my stance on the matter. If the discussion can remain civil (so no caps, cursing, etc) , stays within reason and is based on the mutual acceptence that neither of us is going to be absolutly right (we are talking opinions here so yeah) then you are welcome to PM me. If this is not something you think you can do then it might be better to leave things as they are however.

    I'm starting to become a little worried about Obsorber. he hasn't logged in for weeks and he hasn't responded to my comments on his game, or commented on the last chapter I gave him. I hope he didn't get the Coronavirus. :-(

Well. *That* was an entertaining fustercluck — and that’s not meant nearly as sarcastically as it sounds. I just had to make four different versions of the same conversation:
1: Attained MacGuffin.
