Is it me or while modifying RTP style SV Actor sets to make them taller, the idle animation is the hardest to get right? I think it's because that's the one that you see most so seeing pixels that look wrong make you constantly seek to correct that.
Looking at some classic RPG maps for inspiration... even Chip's Challenge maps for dungeons. It seems like towns might be more challenging on the visual side...
Random silly little tip: always leave a comment for Troops in the events as to how many spaces you've moved them as a frame of reference so that rearranging other enemy troops might be easier.
It’s going to take awhile before it goes to dev thread (because my husband wants a lot of design docs and mockups before he starts programming anything) …but I’m going to make a goal of by the end of the month doing something I’ve never done in all my years here…making a prototype thread from my game Three Trees.
