    It's a common phenomenon with creative types. Working on something creatively makes it easier to have other creative ideas, to the point where they come pouring in when you really get going on anything. The trick is to stay on task long enough to finish something, and not get distracted by an awesome idea.

    The most common method to deal with it that I've heard is to work on the idea just enough that you can come back to it later, like writing a note, then go back to the main task. Just ignoring it doesn't work, as it will try to command more of your attention in an attempt to not be forgotten.
    I ended up making a big mess with first beta. Oh well, time to work harder, not to complain!

    I released a 600mb game package, so i'm fixing that for now, i was able to reduce size to less than 200mb (compressed) but i cant get lower. Thanks for your words!

    If by 'here' you mean Updates then I suggest it would be better from a game thread. That way people have a chance to decide if the game interests them before following the link.

    Thanking my cats in my game credits is weird? I mean the snuggled and purred around me the whole time.
    I'm stuck on writing last riddle hints.. and everytime i open rpg maker and still can't make it i go back to MuseScore and i do a new song.

    I always make them too hard for people initially. The best way to gauge them and tailor them to an audience is to put them to someone who hasn't solved the riddle before and see how they approach it, or what they thought would have given it away if they had told it.

    I made a riddle where you need to play a piano, the problem is that i dont know how to write hints that the ghosts in the room give to the player. I have it working and everything, but i cant write hints.
    Doing private lessons to kids is so so so depressing. I have such a bad headache when i finish i can't work on my project
    In the end i wasn't able to have a working active and wait atb battle system. Oh well, it'll be for the next game.

    Pretty sure there's some plugin/script for that. Or, if you're up to the challenge, you can code your own.

    I know there is, it's just i'd have to do more work on a game in testing phase.
    I have to rewrite half of my game's dialgoues = w = Relationships bewteen characters looks too forced.

    It's strange for me to think of dialogue as hard, I have a much harder time with everything else. I guess everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses in writing. If it's forced, are the pair actually a good fit for each other? I find it easiest to write dialogue when it happens naturally due to the type of people they are.

    They're actually opposite: one is very serious and quiet, one is really noisy and playful. I just have to add more dialogues or they will become friends for the power of plot armor :/

ESAMarathon on Twitch, now streaming "Eat Girl". Yep, that's the title of a game... Apparently it's a Pacman knockoff.... Which is of course the only logical conclusion one would get from a name like "Eat Girl". :kaopride: I can't believe anybody would think anything else! :kaoback:
Super stoked i just finished my first town in my project, by finished i mean i can always add more decorative aesthetics and the NPCs don't talk yet but the mapping is complete and all the important chess pieces are present!
My brain: Hey, I have an idea how to make the transition to the main story quest in The Wastes more natural!
Me: Good!
My brain: You need to remake the hotel you start out in, it's not realistic enough.
Me: Ok... This was unexpected, but I can do it.
My brain: Now make each hotel floor 5 times as large to match the main part. Oh, you also need to make a bunch of new npcs to fill in the space on these maps.
Me: Crap.
Should be able to release Haxe MV/MZ next weekend.
It look that somehow MZ tracks are messed up (for example battle4 is obviously a theme, castle2 is a ship, ship1 is a scene and so on..). Maybe they just named them after with some ambiguity.
