The thing that stinks about parallax mapping is the time investment it takes to make one map, but it does help sell the art style of my game so... In for a penny, I guess.
Dr. Broke is the self-proclaim "greatest scientist on a budget" and a character you'll meet on your journey. They have a wide range of abilities like upgrading your robot buddy skills and running from taxpayers.
To kinda prevent burnout, I've been doing some art stuff on the side to relax a little (And playing a lot of FFTA lol). This is what I made while working.
In my game, party members have a stress gauge that needs to be monitored during battle. The more stressed a character is, Skills will cost more SP to use and you'll loss a bit of HP per turn. on the flip side, a relaxed party member will heal their HP and skills will cost less to use.
It's been a while since the last Da Update. Been doing a lot of outline work. However, I did manage to get most of the visual elements of my battle system done. So that's nice.
Now that IGMC is over, I want to give a big special THANK YOU for all of those who checked out and reviewed my game. I sincerely want to improve as a game developer and seeing those actively engaging with my product and giving me critiques on how to be better in the future is something I value immensely.
IDK what I'm more shocked by... That I somehow managed to misspell the title of my own game, or the fact that no one has mentioned it yet. Eather way, I'm quite embarrassed...
I'm still undecided weather or not I should add minor swearing to my game. Like I'm going for an all ages demographic... but the idea of a cartoon character saying dammit, hell, or crap in normal conversation is really funny to me.
New sprite in action! A-1-2 looks kinda goofy might need to upscale some of the tiles and decorations. And maybe change eliza's creepy laugh to more of a neutral mouth
