Skype is such a buggy mess sometimes.

Emoticons appearing\disappearing from the list or in the messages, messages moving randomly above each other or not sending, random crashes, bugs here and there regarding date and hour in the home page. Come on Microsoft get your stuff together.

Whenever I wrote to friends on it I seemed to make way too many Skype-os. My writing was littered with mistakes. I feel that the entire program was over-Skyped, and that it never quite lived up to what they said it would.

Normally, I don't write these skype of reviews, but I figured I would today O_O

I'm having a lot of fun searching for sound effects to be added in my game, some are hilarious and even give me good ideas:

I think adding custom sound effects is something that a lot of devs neglect sadly, which is a shame because they can really make a game more immersive.

Awesome. Love Jonesy. He was amazing in all the movies. No one can replace him. Sometimes you edit the waves to produce different sounds but you need something to start with. I know my game will require this too as well as soundtrack music. I will probably do the sounds and music last. How is your game coming along Dalph?

Yup, Michael Winslow (Jones) is definitely one of the best characters in the Police Academy movies.

The game is coming along very well so far, I'm slowing the dev a little sometimes because real life gets in the middle of it, but overall I work on it regularly. I'm looking forward to see your game too, Hollow.

Pokemon Go is really taking over the world apparenty.

The more I'm on Steam, the more I realize that the place is flooded by horrible rm games with no passion or effort put into them, and what's worse is that not only they pass the Greenlight part without problems, but they also get many suspicious positive reviews. Something not good is clearly going on there.

Yeah, people generally conclude lack of passion and effort way too easily. Devs has a natural bias and don't actually try to compensate, players simply judge the end product.

That said, when talking about negative effects on the rm reputation it's the appearance of no passion nor effort which actually matters. For me the end product, the game, is what really matters. Though poor communication skills can easily negatively affect things as well.

@Matseb2611 Depends on if you get an inverted one or not. There are still cultures where the use of the original swastika is still used, as it is a symbol of peace and healing. The Nazi one is inverted and generally on an angle.

Why I see that sort of Touch-Death thing in a lot of rm games? It can even work in horror games but I see it even in Rpgs.

What I mean is: If a specific enemy on the map touches you, then a sudden Game Over happens immediately after the hero is being touched. This is incredibly frustrating and screams bad design.

Haha!I think I'd have to vote Cedric as the world's most annoying owl known to man. And I truly love birds. But I sometimes wish you could grab him and throw him at your enemies as a projectile. And before they recovered, he could talk them to death.

Recently picked up a pack of Sierra point and clicks from Gog during their summer sale, and I must say...Space Quest is extremely unforgiving O_O One of these days I may survive for ten whole minutes. I got my hands on all the Quests for Glory as well. Looking forward to getting killed in them repeatedly!

@BananaThug Haha, well at least I have something good to look forward to: inevitable and constant doom :D

But I truly enjoy the older games like that. It reminds me of my childhood. Back then I was fascinated with just being able to make your character move from screen to screen. Nowadays games have become so advanced that games like King's Quest are considered outdated by some. But there's a charm to retro games that I cannot get enough of. I keep going back to them.

And believe me, I know how important it is to do things in the proper order in those games. One mistake and the time you spent playing your adventure could be thrown right in the trash can. When they programmed something a certain way, you either obeyed or faced the consequences!

What's worse though is that not only they have the permission to be loud till midnight, but they also do it during summer, so people are forced to keep their windows closed everytime. #rant over

I remember when I was a kid and started playing Pokemon Yellow for the first time.

If any of you were lucky to play it, the first GYM leader (Rock type) is quite a pain if you don't have a fighting type move. As a kid, I'd have probably lower the difficulty if I could so to beat him, but as we know, Pokemon has no difficult settings so I had to toughen up and train my Pokemon until I was able to beat it. I was so freaking happy and excited after winning my first medal. So glad Pokemon didn't let me change it to easy mode back then (or I'd have surely exploited it) :3

Years later, I played Pokemon on PC Emulator. I often used the speed hack and save hack. I know I should have controlled myself but having those options available really ruined it for me T.T

That's my personal experience with it. It's more enjoyable if I can't configure how the world works and have to find a way around "legally" (abiding to the world rules) so to speak.

Pokemon allowed you to capture and train other pokemons, though. You only needed to find and train the right one. Using a lightning or fighting type pokemon against something that's obviously strong/immune against such elements means you're introducing the challenge to yourself, in ny opinion. There's no need for an easy mode in such a game, in my opinion. :p

It depends largely on your audience. In this day and age, a lot of people who play games have very limited time on their hands. I personally don't want to spend hours being stuck on a single part of the game, because whenever I do have the time to play games, I want to enjoy my time and relax. As kids we had more free time to spend grinding or hitting against a brick wall. Don't have that luxury as adults (unless perhaps if you're unemployed and have no other commitments).

How will you react to someone that tries to insult you indirectly everytime they see you? I personally think this sort of behavior is triggered by jealousy, so I either ignore or try to give them a reason to be even more jealous, pissing them off even more.

I usually do it out of spite.  If I take the time to indirectly insult you... it's because you've done something to deserve it.  Otherwise, if I just don't like a person, I just don't talk to them.  Now, my indirect insults aren't to be taken the same way as my "playful ribbing" which sounds about the same...  Except there's a smile on my face for one of them... and there's not for the other.  Online, my playful ribbing is usually followed with "lol" or "ha ha" so people can kind of get the difference.

But, rest assured, if I do indirectly insult someone every time I see them...  I do it in such a way that the person being insulted cannot ignore it ~_^  I have years of practice.

Gotta love the early bird specials. If the time limit is anything to go by, they'll expire by tomorrow. Be sure to collect them. :D

Arguing with neighbors is not fun. Especially when they are nothing more than dirty pigs, taking care of their plants without being careful about not making drop all the soil and the leaves on the stairs of your house, and then you are forced to clean their mess and stay silent. I prefer to argue at this point.

@The Stranger - I know a few people in my neighborhood so we generally all call at once to solve the dumb edgy teenager with loud music problem.

@AwesomeCool All of my bad neighbours have been chavs. Their love of loud music which is pure bass (so loud it moves objects in your flat) is a common theme amongst them. It's so bad that it's got to the point where each time I see someone in a cap, trainers, and jogging bottoms, I assume the worst. The landlord wouldn't take action because she only cares about raking in the cash. You really do have to take matters into your own hands.

@Alexander Amnell Glad to hear you were able to help those puppies out. I'm sure if they could talk you would have their undying gratitude.

For the most part I've been able to stay on the good side of my neighbors. The only see me when I head out to the store or I'm coming home from work and the only thing they know about me is that I listen to rock music. I live in the ghetto so it's just crime central around here. Shootouts, muggings and break ins are almost daily and the police only come out here if someone was injured or to arrest someone. The kids are the worst because they destroy property and harass people, but as soon as you try to step up or give them a taste of your own medicine, your seen as the bad guy because your an adult and they get off scot free.
