My gameplay is starting to feel fun now. Quest rewards actually feels like it has weight now because it really positively strengthen the characters. Which in turn creates a motivation to complete quests.
Today was a good day in the gameplay department of my game. Was struggling for a while in how to do the gameplay in my game, now I know how to approach it!
Finally getting close to the finishing line with another chapter. The chapter began with me following the outline that I have planned. But adding depth to the outline and figuring out how to get there was and still is really fun.
Currently working on the second protagonist's story and her companion, making good progress. But I am looking forward to return to my other protagonist and continue his story and have him joined by a new companion.
Written plot points for some future chapters, but leaving room for change. I find it more interesting to see where the characters take me rather than I decide where they are going.
My current story arc is about the characters Eugen and Iclyn being stuck in a village due to a nearby menace and them figuring out how to get out of it. This is a concept art of the character that I drew a while ago.
Progression with my game is going quite well! I don't think I have worked on a game for so long and so efficient. It helps to keep your ambition focused. Here is a drawing of one of the characters
I figured it was about time to update the battle sprite for one of my characters. The old one was the first time I ever drew a battle sprite, and filled with lines that shouldn't be there. So far, the new one is cleaner.
This was supposed to become her neutral talking stance, but now i just feel like she looks a little puzzled
I'm also open for any name suggestions, as i seriously suck at those. In my notes everything is just THE CITY or THAT GUY and THIS PRIESTESS or whatever
First concept art of one of our main characters love interests who might turn evil depending on her decisions. Or become king of the world. Or marry her. Maybe even everything at once.
