I know it's old, but I bought DOOM 3 and I really like it. Spooky, good action and my new GPU handles it perfectly.

I know there was a mod back then that allowed to keep the torchlight active at all time. Less creepy but much more enjoyable.

Lordy. In order to get a decent GBA format going without actually coding something would be to mix two editors and some trickery. :(

Sadly, Time Fantasy was missing a couple things here and there, such as stairs on grass, so I had to make my own. Not great, but it works.

While I'm not happy that I need to wait for my motherboard to be replaced, the new GPU breathed new life into my current, older PC.

Power supply got here...and it didn't work either. Means it's the motherboard. It's out of the 30 return period, so manufacturer RMA...fun.

Oh and mind you, the project folder, before deployment, was 6MB big. After deployment, the game was 100MB. x_x

So do I. I can't remember where this windowskin is from, but it fits with the 16x16 size of the tiles. Combined with SFont from Victor, it's a nice combo. Using Link's Awakening bitmap font until I make my own, but it's good for testing. 7x9 per letter is a good size for retro stuff. Now, if only we had CRT effects for MV via plugin, this would make stuff really awesome.

Time Fantasy is so nice. It scales so smoothly too. And because it isn't overly complex it is easy to do stuff in the same style! I created a stone bridge and extended walls for a checkpoint border for my over world map. I really love it!

@Susan you and me both. That's what I started using after my first real PC went and got borked. The Linux command-line basically reminds me of it, but I'm still learning it since it's a lot more complex than MS-DOS ever was, but it's also a lot more powerful.

Except that as soon as you are duplicating code, you are introducing inefficiency and increasing your chances for errors.

Well, the pasted code is a simple HTML/JS include. I could just do an include by changing my pages to PHP, but doing that only for includes seems unnecessary. The old way had me copy/pasting the full nav menu code across each page. This new way just includes them at the top of the body section.
        Jun 19, 2017
      4. djDarkX
        djDarkX
The JS is a w3c external sheet linked in every page and the include is in a simple div, so this cuts down on pasting the nav menu each time and re-doing it on all the pages if something changes or gets added. This dynamically changes it on all pages due to being a simple include:

        <div w3c-include="page.html"></div>

    Welcome!

My name is djDarkX, but you can just call me Dark, or dj or even just hey you!

My main focus is on music reproduction, or re-arrangements of other people's music, most notably in the field of JRPG console music from the days of the NES, SNES, Genesis, N64 and some from the Playstation. I don't limit myself to JUST JRPG music as I've done renditions from shmup titles like U.N. Squadron, racing games like Mario Kart Advance, obscure platformers like Ardy Lightfoot and more. I'm not much of an original composer yet, but I'm working on it! I also deal in graphics and used to do minor script edits. Maybe one day when I learn Javascript more, I can make my own scripts that cater to retro game development.

If you visit my site, you'll see what my list of re-arranged and remastered music is, but it doesn't contain EVERYTHING I've done as some of it I can't share, and some I just won't for various reasons.

Commission Status: Unavailable (probably will never happen until I get better at original compositions, but that may change someday)
