  • I just found out that Eiyuu Senki is coming out this summer for PS3 and Vita. Legendary historical warriors in female form? Sign me up! It's weird that they have their male names though.
    The Stranger
Well, sort of historical. King Arthur, Faust, and others aren't really historical.

    True, there are exceptions.
I've been using rpgmaker and comipo for my play by forum games; the results were excellent!

what "play by forum games"? The licence does not allow you to use the resources outside of the game engine (at least RPG Maker's licence - not sure on Comipo)

It's kinda like fan-fiction, not selling stuff or anything.

In other words, no one outside a group of 4 people will see it.
Wow, SMBWiiU's Megaman isn't half bad; the only downside is that a lot of other characters can nullify his side smash with relative ease, gotta use downward or upward most of the time with them.
I'm getting Smash Bros for Wii U tomorrow, I can't wait to play as Megaman, even though a lot of gamers say he's mid to low tier, I love the blue bomber!
Just submitted my entry for the scifi pitch contest. Good luck to everyone that is entering and a big thanks to Auburn Sakura for letting me know about it!
Garden of Words looks amazing! If you like anime slice of life drama in beautiful, vivd colors, check out the trailer on youtube.
Dark Souls 2 is amazing! Buy it now. I've died so much already and I love every minute of it.

This one is very similar to Dark Souls 1, but many things (combat, invasion, death penalties) have been tweaked for the better imo. There is voice chat in this one though. PM? Did you mean Quigon or me? Lemme check my messages...

I'll probably get it once it come out for pc... is it any harder to abuse the invasion function this time around (like when *******s cause hundreds of firebombs to rain down upon you before they even materialize and you die as the words "invader appears" show up on your screen? That always killed the first one for me.)
Dark Souls 2 is almost out, I can't wait! :)

I cant wait either! Lol. I didn't pre-order it because I want too see some reviews of it first. I have wasted a lot of money on pre-orders of games that were below expectations. I have faith in this game though, it will most likely be great! If you play on Xbox, PM me your gamertag!

I think it's funny the Steam trailer for Dark Souls 2 uses Dark Souls 1 footage primarily.

@UnveilingMuffin: The development team behind it is amazing, it has yet to let me down; you will love the game if you like high difficulty, frustration, but also, great rewards when you master your weapon.

@Aceri: Yes, maybe they wanted to keep spoilers at a minimum, you know how this game leans heavily on the surprise factor.
So, it turns out that now I have to teach martial arts to corporate security personnel; that's kinda new to me. I've had some police officers as students before, but never an entire security group.

Is that the same job offer as before or a different one? Either way good luck, that's more than I could stand. Being a horrible teacher of anything in the first place. (I bailed on formal martial arts training soon after I became high enough that serious teaching became a requirement for my continued advancement.)

Thanks, it's part of the same job, I knew there was a catch; I still teach martial arts to kids and civilians, but this is something of a government requirement. I knew the pay was too good to be true. And yes, that applies to almost all martial arts, if you want to keep learning, you have to teach. I actually don't mind teaching, but it does take a good chunk of your time.
Ah, the practical kind. I used to study Krav Maga but stopped at E1 both to focus on other things and because I hated teaching. Good luck and hopefully you can only prevent harm to others rather than become involved in a bad situation because of this.
Just got a job offer to teach martial arts in a dangerous part of the city (I live in Mexico, so I'm sure you can imagine). Pros: Pay is amazing, I can teach people over there how to defend themselves, the head instructor will help me attain even more martial knowledge. Cons: High risk of injury and death. I accepted, I hope I made the right choice.

What vein of martial arts do you teach?
    Frostyfirefly
    Frostyfirefly
It's Kajukendo, a martial art that combines Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jujuitsu and Kempo. It's exclusively for self defense, that is, the majority of moves are dirty and are not allowed in an octagon or ring.
Thinking if I should get Ragnarok Odyssey Ace or not; some people find it very repetitive, while others like the difficulty and new features.

get it, then tell me if it's nice... though really, watching from the vids on YT, ROAce looks really nice... if only I had a Vita, I would have got it already

Blighttown was indeed terrifying the first time round, because you have no idea where you're going and where the enemies are lurking. Same for Tomb of Giants. And yeah, hoping that DS2 will be just as good as the first one. I might wait for its price to drop a bit too, as I always do with new games.

DS2 is one of those rare cases where I don't mind paying full price for it so long as the reviews and opinions of it aren't absolutely terrible or something.
I just got Risk of Rain, it's a great rogue-like game, I highly recommend it if you like difficult and moody side-scrollers.

At one point, I was doing an AMAZING game on the Drizzle difficulty. I got to max difficulty based on time, and bosses were just showing up along with normal enemies. I lasted nearly hour (117 minutes, 3 away), but I went back to the old levels (it lets you) instead of going to the boss level and I died. I was soooo OP though.
    Frostyfirefly
    Frostyfirefly
I can't wait to be able to fight at that difficulty level... and die a frustrating death as well :p
Conception 2 looks interesting, but I really dislike repetitive dungeons.

Never played the first one; this one caught my attention because they say the dating sim aspect and the combat is fun, but I dunno if I can stand running around through the same corridors for more than 20 mins or so.

I've read the wiki for both... it does seem interesting, might get the first one on my psp... too sad I don't have a 3DS or a Vita for this 2nd one...

Well, you never know; enter lots of contests that give away a Vita or 3DS, you may get lucky. I once entered an energizer battery contest and won an electric kiddie kart, lol, luckily, I sold it to a friend who had a kid and got some money out of it.
