Dear GW2: I know shaking up the meta can be exciting. Sometimes we need some new spice in our relationship. But there was a reason I loved you, you know. If you just go ahead and become someone else entirely, I might have to go for someone else entirely.
Programming realization: Sometimes it's easy to get trapped in "optimize" mode, where I'm blocked from making progress because I know the solution to a problem is not the best one, but I also can't figure out the best solution yet. To solve this dilemma, the best action is to go ahead with the sub-optimal solution, then eventually the optimal way will reveal itself (or turn out to be a pipedream).
So I had an annoying headache (not sure if it would transition to migraine yet) when the daily exercise alarm rang. I decided to risk making it worse. During pushups and situps, it was definitely worse, but then when I transitioned to more cardio, headache disappeared entirely. Very interesting.
After working out some initial confusion, I managed to get Yanfly's Improved Battlebacks successfully working on a test battle, changing the battleback and getting it to scroll during combat. This means that I can have graphically dynamic battles on moving platforms, like the roof of a train or the deck of a ship/airship...
MV's plugin command setup is the current bane of RETRO's existence. To a degree, so is MZ's. Especially when trying to make MV's plugin command interface play nice with MZ plugin commands with complex arguments.
