  • Small rant: While using SRD Hud maker for a battle hud, I typed in the wrong script call and got an error, but then forgot to delete the piece that caused the error before closed the Hud maker and hit F5 to restart the game. Now everytime I engage in a battle my game crashes...

You can go back and fix it, right? I hope it is not permanent issue.

I'm not sure actually. I just closed my laptop and went to bed, lol. I'm going to try and turn off the srd hud maker plugin when I get home from work and see if that works.

Honestly thanks for mentioning this, will def make backups every time I make big changes to my Battle Hud.
Or have a separate room with my hud info.
You know you've been messing with the maker too long when you start mixing up script calls and plugin tags...

I've been trying to get if/else statements to work with Yanfly action sequencing for the last hour only to realize I've been trying to use mv javascript instead of the damn action sequence tags :kaoslp:

Do you see the split two screen turns into one screen yet? Just asking, I see that happened to me.
After not really being present on this forum for several years, I recently have come back. Mostly because reading peoples posts and interacting with people online who share the same hobby as me is inspirational for me as I develop my game. What's astounding to me, is that the same people arguing and being passive/aggressive with each other 3+ years ago are still doing it....

Yeah. I think everyone is just stressed and scared about the corona virus and other scary stuff in the news. The people on this forum are really nice and helpful. If you want to talk about game making I'd be happy too. I think people need a distraction to calm down and not be paranoid or panicking. :)

Yeah, I guess my comment came off a bit negative, but I actually find the issue funny. I know most people on the forum are super nice and super helpful, and I appreciate the forum for sure. Hopefully no one is offended by my comment.
Finally decided to get custom animations and begin setting them up in my game only to have RMMV crash. Lost about 3 hours worth of work... Thanks Norton Antivirus for reminding me to exclude RMMV from your watchlist.

After the first forced close, it closed on me again twice, after about 3-5 minutes of the program being open. That's when I removed it from Norton watch-list. No problems since then, so I assumed it was Norton.

All the extra animations would only have increased the file size if you'd saved, and if you'd saved, you wouldn't (shouldn't) have lost all the work you'd done. Glad it's not still closing, but to be safe, save often :)

Yeah, it may not have been a Norton issue, it may have actually been a Steam issue. Turned on my laptop yesterday after work and Steam needed to update, so who knows? No more problems though

AAAGH... I hate navigating the new RPG Maker website!
Forgive my rudimentary video editing skills, thought I'd start sharing progress on my status posts as well. Here's the second character of my roster, Mǽlhafoc, the Ælven ranger.

And if you missed the first one many moons ago, here's Vilhelm, the tarnished knight.
Knocked through three more rough draft sprites. (A frog beast thing, a skeleton, and vampire bat) down to seven sprites and a thing more appropriately done as tiles.
