I think of "bosses" as always being challenging for the average player at the average level when you get to them. But that is just me. I don't recall a game that I liked where a "boss" was easy unless you did some grinding ahead of time. Again, just my opinion.

I'd lean toward medium. Not something that your players are going to roll right over, but also not something that's full of gimmicks right out the gate.

I'd say the first boss should only reinforce the basic battle concepts of your game. It should only be easy if the player is interacting with the battle system as they should, and be harder if theyre not doing what's expected
Do you put an INN next to exit of a town or somewhere?

I would think it would make sense from a historical standpoint to have the Inn between the the city area and the Fields. It would also mechanically make sense to put it somewhere in the Market Square That way players will have easy access to resources.

Other than that I would think it would also depend on what type of settlement the town is. If it's a small farming town that gets very little traffic. I wouldn't think it will have a Inn that is well pronounced compared to a city.
How you feel when using AI for your project?

@Wifi I'm now having flashback to my very first "Intro to AI" lecture and trying to define "intelligence" xD
Of course there exists a definition, my point is that there also exist plenty of other competing definitions, and it's not like there's a single definite one. Even dictionaries tend to disagree on specifics.

I've used it for inspiration and bouncing ideas off of it, but that's it. It's actually pretty helpful when working on your game's lore, NPCs, sidequests, etc.

@Ninjakillzu True, I basically use it as a replacement for Google sometimes tbh :p Like quickly getting lists of words or a definition of something.

@Dalph According to what was posted in the main thread, that's exactly what's happening. And man, the data is something else. Unity went wild hiring people, not giving a damn about how that would shake out later on.
Would you pay a dollar each time you install a game made by that engine especially made by you. How business goes it just feels wrong.

There is no set of metadata in the world that allows for reliable metadata tracking. Game directory? What if it changes? OS? What if it upgrades? Username? Multiple users can be present. Whether Unity runtime is installed? It gets installed with every unity game.

Even tracking of "Created"/"Changed" is not reliable, because this can be easily manipulated through date/time change and is preserved when you're copying the directory.

Ok, that last response was funny! It took me a minute, but I finally got the humor. @Jrrkein when you say wifi do you really mean no wifi or no internet? Meaning can you still connect to the router directly or just no internet period. Either can suck, but one more so than the other. Unless you get wifi from source other than your own router.

Proper localization into several languages on a commercial rpg project might be one of the best signs that the developer is super invested into making the game something high effort, because it ain't cheap to hire good translators.
6 hour drive back from Florida and I was able to plan out 6 mini game Common Events for my Game Jam entry, including a new one I hadn't thought of before. Also had some new ideas to improve what I already have and the post game options to continuing playing the mini games that you liked or didn't get to try. Pretty productive drive.
