Comments like "Oh, I've never seen that tileset before, where'd you get it?" have gone over well before. I don't think it's a problem unless they don't want to/can't share and you get pushy. And if you phrase it right it comes off as a complement, not buttering them up to get them to give you stuff.

@Sharm That last bit is exactly how I dont want to sound. Already asked, gotta wait to see if they want to say. I know a lot of people dont like sharing information about resources even if they are free, but trying never hurt.

Yep! I get excited about art, so if someone asks me about where my resources are from, I'm pretty happy. You never know until you ask, really.

Maybe because it's a death sentence to be seen as one in cliques (for your social life or otherwise depending on the clique) the world over? Plus it kind of humanizes the rat even as it demeans the human, which just seems somehow patently worse as an insult than just calling someone a rat.

I actually think to a certain extent my personality changes in Spanish. Not to imply that I become a different person, rather because I come off as more approachable in Spanish I'm more free to just talk to people while in English I frequently either intimidate or appear condescending and am always more analytical and withdrawn in an effort to avoid such misunderstandings. Just weird things I've observed.

@Philosophus Vagus I used to write a lot in notebooks since school. I ended trading those for the doc, but sometimes miss the old pencil and paper.

You can always do both. My notebook gets copied to the computer as soon as I get home, I just prefer to keep my hiking gear as low tech as possible, everyone needs to hide from technology at least a little bit of the time.

As much as people dislike "evil for the sake of being evil", it can be a fun play on the trope to have at least one villain like that, especially in a rogues' gallery or something.
