Yesterday's food poisoning was one of the most painful experiences I have ever had.

The funny thing is that I had not eaten anything yesterday. I had a wonderful introduction to it, when I almost passed out in the middle of the street and then the real symptoms kicked in.

Yeah, that's a pretty weird thing indeed.  Possibly something from the night before?

I don't even remember. It must have been a run-of-the-mill case of not well prepared food, because I don't think I ate anything too weird.

Sorry, hiding it due to the political wording. You can post it again without mentioning creationists.
The irony is that young children appreciate profanity more than any other age group.

I think it's up to interpretation. More often than not profanity is used to vent off frustration, or to give some impact on what is being discussed.

Children like it because it's something that adults do, but it's also "bad" for them to do it.

    It's all subjective.

Kids don't really appreciate profanity though, they enjoy breaking the taboo because it's just a crossed boundary at the end of the day and crossing boundaries is basically how young kids process the world around them and learn. You might get a more visible reaction from kids who might giggle or repeat the phrase a few times after coming across profanity but on the other hand they're likely to focus on the taboo itself to the point of missing the context in which it is used.

You just have to make sure it's appropriate for what you are trying to do, if you are afraid you are being explicit to often there's nothing wrong with winnowing out a few words here and there, cursing is a great way to vent frustration, but if your character is venting frustrations to often it can lose it's effect and make them appear whiny rather than just frustrated.

You got in there a little too deep :p

I agree with everything you have stated, but all I wanted to express is the hilarity of a society, which tries to protect the only people who actually care about swearing (actively seek out to do it), from swearing.
I have come to realize, that we don't refine ourselves as a society with the coming of every new generation. We just superficially reject the mistakes of the past as mere oddities of less-intelligent people and then proceed to create our own predicaments of stupidity.

It might be exactly because we are a new generation. Fresh, new and  ignorant. What we know of history is our interpretation of the interpretation of those who have experienced it. We need to make essentially the same mistakes under a different pretence, to learn from them ourselves.

Sorry for the long rant. Feeling a bit Miyazaki. KanaX out.

Does anybody know of any topics that might help with drawing animated water tiles? Thank you!

Well I was hoping for some help regarding the rippling, but that's also useful!
It's been a while since I worked directly on my project. I have spent a lot of time honing my skills in terms of gameplay, making graphics, coherent-compelling story, etc. I just went back to it and it feels like it's in a horrendous state. I have a lot to do.

I've noticed that development never really stops. Looking back at my earlier projects, they look kind of crappy now even though I was satisfied with them at the time.
The literal translation from my native language for trees that have shed their leaves is "naked tree". Do yourself a favor and DO NOT google "naked pine tree".
I'm afraid the some key story elements in my project are pretty similar to those in Undertale and people will think that I directly lifted them from it.

Especially if you are right handed. If you broke the right arm it would probably be worse.

I know I'm just being a little cry-baby. But you know, if you break your arm you just don't use it until it's healed. Right now, it's just that each time I have to use the mouse or type I'm like "ow, ow, ow, ow, ow"

Yeah it sucks. If my right arm was broken it would be hard to do my job and most everything would feel strange and I'm partly amidextrous. Plus it is my drawing hand. Hope you cut heels quickly.
I always had fond memories of the Tom & Jerry classics from childhood, but only now that I'm returning to them, I can see their brilliance.

Finished Jedi: Survivor yesterday. Pretty good game (I'll consider it great when fully patched), and Cal has become one of my favorite Jedi Knights.

I finally beat Tears of the Kingdom! That was legit the best boss fight ever in the entire Zelda series. It has everything: skill, thrill, spectacle, chill,... EVERYTHING.
I have, once again, started something I'm not sure I can finish.
