    Did anyone notice that MV's "Castle 1" sounds almost identical to Final Fantasy 1's castle theme? No? Just me?

    Probably a homage to FF1 castle. Familiar melodies are uncanny. MV flutes used are bells and whistles so it doesn't sound like a castle march theme.

    The MZ ost literally sucks. Absolute trash. MV's soundtrack was not just the best RPG Maker soundtrack, but one of the greatest video game soundtracks of all time to rival Bravely Default, Xenoblade 2, and Pokemon Black and White. However, the MZ songs in comparison suck. What happened?

    Well, it's just my opinion anyways. A lot of people feel differently, and I'm fine with that. However, what a lot of people don't realize is that MV's OST is actually MASSIVE (140+ songs) with most of the best songs being included as extra "free DLC" included with the program but not actually part of the resources that spawn with your project.

    I'm not sure if MZ has that too, since I'm waiting for a major sale to get it, but if so at least the base songs aren't nearly as good as MVs. The battle themes especially were great.

    Please help me with a issue I'm having.

    RMMV - Yanfly Subclass "Subclass is not function" error.

    I'm having an issue with Yanfly's Subclass plugin. A error keeps popping up whenever I open the class menu in-game. Please help. (Note: Quoted from a comment I made on another thread.) I'm having the same issue too, but since I'm using Olivia's anti player stress plugin it gave me a bit more...

    I don't exactly remember what I said here, but I don't think I said anything too extreme. It's a proven fact that Neil is a crappy human, so why exactly can I not hate on him? Am I not allowed to say that I'm glad that Hi*** is burning in h-e-double-hockey-sticks when he was another crappy (though a whole lot worse) person like Neil?

    Also I don't really care about TLOU2. Everyone pretty much hates it outside of the sellout journalists, so despite the somewhat high sales I think it's already payed it's due. ND's reputation will be ruined for a LONG time after this. Not like I care since I've hated ND's games since Uncharted 1.

    Decided to quit using the BD battle system as it was too hard to bug-test without knowledge of Javascript. Going back to a basic turn-based battle system. Hopefully I can make it interesting!

    It's a full re imaging of my very first RPG Maker game, Chronicles of Light. It's about a man named Koros who is forcibly bound to a "dragon spirit" named Kairos, who forces Koros to stop an ancient calamity from returning or he would turn to stone. It features a class system, 5 playable characters, and 3 massive bonus dungeons.

    So, apparently I wasn't banned from RMN for the reason I thought. It ended up being some sort of misunderstanding in which someone made an alt pretending to be me (probably my little brother or one of my friends from school) without knowing the rules which got me banned. It had nothing to do with the whole political statement I made on my status.

    Honestly, 1. Just stick your ban out, trying to change it is dumb and going to just get people annoyed at you, 2. No one cares about why you were banned somewhere else, stop bringing your drama here from somewhere else, and 3. If you continue to make posts here that come off as homophobic, you aren't just going to catch a ban for a year.

    I would HIGHLY suggest letting it go and not posting more either regarding that. All you are doing is digging a hole for yourself at this point, and the deeper it gets the worse it will get. And in the future if a game you feel is mistagged, just report it as mistagged this was not what I wanted to play. That's all you had to say in y our review.

    This statement is no longer valid. My little brother or anyone else did not "create and alt pretending to be me." I don't know what kind of drugs I was on when I wrote this. (I don't do drugs. It was just a joke lol) It was my dad who made a review that the mods on RMN flagged, thinking that I was using an alt. It also had nothing to do with my rant, which I deleted.

    I just re-released Generic RPG Quest III on itch.io! While it's unfinished and not fully realized, it is still perfectly playable. (hopefully) Please check it out!

    One, it's not a thread. It's a game page on itch.io since I was banned off RMN. Secondly, where else am I supposed to announce a re-release of my game? I can't directly post game pages to this forum so what am I exactly supposed to do?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.

Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
