  • Helped make a "Rolling HP" Plugin for MZ. Similar to the Earthbound Mechanic. OMG does it make Active time battles much more frantic. I love it! Def gonna add it to my own project!
    Ok. So I gave that VisuStella suite an honest try. It's not as bad as I thought it was. Making plugins that work with it will still be a bit daunting, but nowhere near as bad as I initially thought.
    Okay... Got the Independent Items working again. Now on to my combo counter system. Then my elements... MZ.......

    I butchered the hell outta the item core. Can't share it as is cause it's basically hardcoded for my game. I'm sure someone will make a formal plugin before too long.

    I really have been thinking about making an "instance items" plugin for MZ... well see if someone else does it first though. :popcorn:

    Oh boy... Now I understand why Yanfly and other prominent scripters went the ******* way. Trying to help peeps for free is jarring as hell

    Personally, I'd just do what you want. No one can fault you. You don't have to help anyone you don't want to.

    Not at all. I have passed by requests for plugins/scripts/general assistance because of the person requesting, because I know it's going to turn into a massive task, based on previous requests by that person. I don't need those headaches.

    And I know most if not all of our fellow plugin/script makers have done the same at least once! Heck! One of the bigger ones avoids me like the plague! But it is what it is.
    Oye! I FINALLY figured out why my project was so laggy and of course it's due to a plugin of mine. (Just glad it wasn't one I released!)
    As of late, I kinda feel that the sense of community and cooperation here is declining.

    This is something that is difficult to measure, but one way is to look at how much is being posted. In the year or so before ased, the number of pages in 'New Content' for 24 hours was around 6. After MV released, it went up to 20 or more pages. Now it's back down to a more manageable 9-12 pages. Those queries are being answered, so there's a lot of help being given.

    That is true as well. I guess it's just the quality of my interactions with a few individuals. The forums and most of us are cool. It's just one or two that frustrate me a bit.
    Decided to add Hirion's Menu scripts to my game. Love the menu, but thanks to it, I had to edit almost everything from my command equip to Quests, to XStats to item desriptions! But on the brighter side, it helped me broaden my scripting knowledge quite a bit.

Just going to use stationary water for the randomized maps. Sure, particles would look cool... But this is about compromising and not spending countless hours making the perfect water particle for each set piece with water. :kaoswt:
Maybe I should get rid of the Banish ability in my game. It's a non-elemental spell that doesn't even appear in the magic chart. It's only there because my Elementalist doesn't use light or dark magic. It only effects summoned creatures.

I've been redoing all of the major areas in my game. starting with a place called Century Park. thankfully because all of the locations are distorted memories, I can make these places pretty abstract.
