  • I caught up on my story writing today. I expect it to triple in size during revision. I got to add more names too.
I always make an impossible goal, so my big goals are reached.

The short stories can be expanded into long stories, but I don't try too much with 2D games, but it does exceed normal limits. 100 - 700 words. There are 25 short stories per planet.

It seems like long stories would be hard in VX. So used to 1,000 word stories.

I feel that all the work I'm putting in it will make it become popular and gain lots of money. The character pixel art is realistic too. I am still tweaking a perfect female form for adult to child pixel art. The child form will mostly be used for villagers.
    I will be writing for the rest of the day. 7 short stories need to be done. I slacked off by 2 yesterday. ^_^;;;
I made a fried pancake. Will it taste like a doughnut? Only an hour will tell.

    I love LMMS and Audacity.

Audacity is a class piece of software. For a free DAW, it can do an awful lot, though I've never actually tried the built-in plugins (I use Pro Tools).

I use Audacity for editing mostly and LMMS for composing music. I have so many Sf2 and VST.
I discovered the software Piskel. I am now using it to make sprites, but Gimp, Krita, Sai, and Photoshop are great too.

If you wrote a guide then I might actually use it. :p

Still working on a little something, but I'll give it a try when I'm done! :)

Piskel makes me feel comfortable because it is built for pixel art, but I honestly can do it in anything with layers and transparency. There has been real improvement in gimp 2.8 with layers and it honestly can almost do everything Photoshop can with added extensions/brushes. I will have to admit that Photoshop has superior layer controls and features.
SGU (Stargate Universe) sucked. It could have been way better. The story and characters needed a ton of improvement. A few episode I admit were good, but they put so much good in the visual appeal and they wasted it....

I actually really liked SGU, but I understand the critique. I also loved BSG. I will give you that SG-1 and SGA were better shows though. I think SGU had a chance of being at the same level, but the damage was done too early on for them to recover (which they were beginning to, in terms of story, in season 2.)

I agree with DragonVine. I never watched much BSG though. I just couldn't get into it and don't feel the urge to watch. Sadly, a lot of good shows are being canceled.

SGA started really good and kept it up through all of it's seasons. SG-1 started kinda bad and ended super good (got better with each season). SGU I couldn't stand though (however I only watched part of the first season before I quit watching). So yea SG-1 and SGA rocked ;)
Making a rough draft for 5 short stories a day takes a lot of brain power. Completed 25! 75 more to go or was it 50....

I am just very addicted to my stories. I am writing things I always wanted to see in movies and books.

That moment when the person doesn't reply back in a message? (But it says they read it)

Sometimes they never reply back though. Haha

They could have forgotten. Yeah, but sometimes it really is a legitamate ignore. Some of the bigger names have to do it a lot because they get absolutely swamped with questions they just shouldn't have to answer. I get programming questions sometimes, it's bizzare.

Maybe they don't have the time to reply. Maybe they barely have time to read it. Maybe they just don't want to reply.
My days go from bad to extremely horrible. Tomorrow will be a better day! (Hopefully)

It has been a better day. Lots of progress with little drama. Thanks for the cheer.
Going to leave a company. I have been doing a project for 60 days at a company and they haven't done anything for the project.....nor do they seem to care about it. I wrote the story, art, and programmed the advanced features. I emailed them last week and there has been no reply and I have no contract with them. I'm out of there this Sunday with my work.

You sound like a very dedicated guy. If I had my project in later stages I'd contact you >.>

Btw, by 'companies' you mean indie wannabe dev or actually indies companies?
    Misty

Indies companies. They have the skills, but they seem to think I'll do all the work and that is not happening.

That moment when you make up too many stories with unique locations and then it hits you...."I gotta design the art for all this!"
    Misty
    Misty
Oh! I have a great time coming up with locations, but the tileset and character art can be tiring when you try to make them all for 5 different short stories within 5 days. My favorite/favourite types of locations are fantasy and science fiction/space.

I'm no artist. I can build the story with ease, but my art and mapping skills need work. My favorite locations are ones that I can actually make look average, instead of hilarious. ^_^

    I like unique locations. I don't like normal. c:

So, uh, has anyone tried buying any resources from KokoroReflections? Because I've been looking for a 'buy' button on the site for like 10 minutes now and can't find one.
Any also thought it's too cringy to put the word "and you" in your credit as a special thanks?
Cause that's what I thought...
