Simple composition sketch (probably not playable, did each MIDI separately because baby hands). I have a version that goes even harder if y'all think it can go harder. It's supposed to be a little unhinged. I was going to finish the vocal, but I'm a pleb and hurt myself doing distortion.
Been recording most the day, and iunno. It’s JUST a draft but… feeling a bit uncharacteristically shy. Not even about my vocal performance, more my sheer lack of understanding how to mix vocals. Don’t know if I can Vidal Sassoon this before the 1st when I want my thread up…might switch gears to 100% piano draft?
Cool, cool. Me: Let's do some light drafting on the piano just to get the point. Also Me: Oops, made a show tune. Either way...I think I will be done drafting it by tomorrow morning. Then I have to record.
Hmm. Work on the piano rough drafts for my game design thread (finally feel like I'm running out time)...or buy groceries? I sense y'all have noticed a pattern with my productivity and food. What a pain.
Definitely messier than the other fashion sketch. It’s the first time I’ve drawn this outfit so elements are not final. Also, a breakneck-speed sketch of her hand to indicate why she only wears one glove in the other outfit. And, yes. That’s a #2 pencil stored in the messy bun. I hope to introduce you to Em. Confident and practical, but girly and fun.
OMG, you guys. I really wanted to try one of those messy high fashion clothing sketches and…I think it’s a little adorable. I definitely plan to do more traditional character turn arounds…but cute, cute, cute!! This took me about 30 minutes so maybe I will be able to whip up her alternate outfit for the thread if I do it like this.
Well. I’ve moved on to some music drafting for my game prototype thread. I knew I was going to change quite a bit about this theme ‘cause I wrote it in 2004. But, I’ve determined the largest issue is it really should be in a compounded time signature. So…it will hardly be recognizable but these are all good changes.
So the concept for my Game Jam project is way more than I can complete before the deadline. But I think I found a way to get the core done and make the incomplete parts either not really noticeable or make them a part of the story for now. That sneaky, dastardly Krampus! Then I can complete the rest. Did I mention that this is fun?
