    That's a really cool idea. Reminds me of an over carbonated Dr Pepper bottle I opened one that nearly blew my head off. It was the coldest, dizziest Dr Pepper ever, tho! XD

    and on the bottom row, I see that SMG with the drum mag on the top... M970 or something?
    used to have those in Combat Arms, very underrated weapons.
    where everyone would play fast flankers with SMG, I played defensive tank with HMG. Caught everyone off guard every time lol

    @gstv87 Yeah, that pistol is a Makarov, and the SMG you mentioned is the Calico M960 (and M960A which has the stock and front grip). Funnily enough, I changed the name of the M960 to M970 in my game.
    What do you guys think of playing a game in black and white (or technically greyscale) like old movies? There's a samurai project I've been thinking about, and keep wondering if I want it to look more like The Seven Samurai (greyscale) or Ran (color).
    I've been doing a pass over my cyberware, and I noticed a distinct lack of manufacturers! Now I'm creating different companies with their own focuses in the industry (Nanotech, Bioware, Neuroware, etc)

    I would swap them to nanoware and biotech for the sake of puns with the known game dev studio :kaopride:
    Since my last photo of custom gun icons got a fair amount of attention, here's some custom gun icons I made for my brother's post-apocalyptic game (which doesn't have a demo or forum page yet). The first two rows are a mixture of zip guns and other weird DIY pieces from real life police confiscations.

    Developing in-game criminal organizations is tough work, especially if you have multiple warring factions. I've been working on fleshing out different branches of a Yakuza family, each with their own purpose and important individuals. :kaophew:

    I could imagine so. There's likely history of organized crime to look toward, different motives and different methods. A group of anarchists could look different from a small group pulling heists, which would also differ from a closely-knit mafia family or a medieval-fantasy thieves' guild. Heck, there's probably enough differences among real-world Yakuza families alone.
    To cut down on map lag, I've been researching how to implement a lighting layer as a single map overlay instead of a bunch of individual lights. Hopefully I'll have a screenshot soon!

    @ElCheffe Is it for VX Ace? So far I'm just seeing MV stuff.

    The tutorial is for MV, but I believe the techniques applied could be used for VX Ace, too. As long as you are able to overlay your map with a image.
    I'm in the process of converting all locks and intimidate/persuade dialogue options into D20 DC based success/fail (modified by player skill). Before, it required a certain flat amount you had to meet, but with rolls, it offers more freedom. For instance, you can repeatedly try to unlock a door instead of just not meeting the requirement to unlock it.

    Okay, but is it okay now if I save before a door and spam my lockpick skill on it until it open? And then put all my points into melee instead? :biggrin:

    @alice_gristle Yep, it's perfectly valid to save scum, but you won't need to do that when unlocking a door. If you fail a roll, just try again! It rerolls each time you try to unlock it.
    Who's a fan of firearms? The 5 on the bottom row (not including the green laser ones) I made pretty recently. I plan for most of these to be in my project.

    @C64_Mat Not sure yet. I've made a different set of weapons for my brother's post-apocalyptic rpg, but I am potentially open to sharing my work or even making a few commissions.

    @Finnuval It's really hard to get a lot of detail in such a small space! The sniper rifles were especially bothersome. Glad to hear you recognized most of them!

    @Ninjakillzu been playing Combat Arms lately, and took that as one of my favorites.
    in a server and game where everyone plays to rush with SMG, I donned heavy armor, picked up a HMG, and dug in to defend. THE amount of salt I collected from the P2Ws, unbelievable.
    "Dude! How can you headshot me with that bullet spread?!"
    "I have 200 rounds.... I'm bound to land one sooner or later!"
