This is why I took out the batteries in mine. Stupid false alarms at 3AM. . . . It's still wired so it's fine. I don't get why they don't have some sort of recharging battery to avoid that problem.

When you said "bored and happening to read one of my old posts", I thought of this quote:
"I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train."

What's life without a lil' danger? :p There must have been some tangible benefit our ancestors received by constructing settlements in disaster hotzones. Over here, we have cities on floodplains. I guess it used to be good for crops? Not so good for modern citites, however.

Well, Native Americas certainly didn't have the technology we do, but imo they were lots smarter. They didn't really care about disaster hotzones near as much, because they made sure that their homes were flood and rainproof.

I guess, depending on the tribe, nomadic cultures are not wont to stay in a single place for too long, either. Similar to how certain ancients worshipped spirits\deities living inside volcanoes, but still didn't live too close to them.

I have a trick in easy shading. But not as pretty as real shading. Add a new layer with black colour and set it to glow and blur. I used this whenever I am sick of shading.

I never understood that motivation, it's like villains who react that way are so suicidal that they want to kill the world along with themselves...but it would be much easier to just off yourself and I'm always just to skeptical to believe that they have the patience to see the end of the world through when they could so easily end it for themselves at anytime and not live in a world they hate so much anymore.

It's probably because the villains don't plan things out well. Ever watch those shows or read those books on the dumb criminals? After reading a few of those stories you'll see why a villain could be that way, as they didn't think through the consequences of their actions all the way.
