    It seems that the world's view of what a constitutes a "Visual Novel" isn't the same as what I thought it was. I suppose "Animated Comic Book" might be a better description.

    Primarily they seem to be "Choose Your Own Adventure" stories. Mine is not one of those, it is just a story, like a book. While there are little flavor bits (character interactions, puzzles, ect.) there aren't any "choose your own" style anythings in mine.

    As a Writer/Storyteller, my work is done. Now we're into my personal damage. "Grumpy Dick" is pretty often used to describe me. That mentality is in my own mind, even though I know it's just a block. I need to beat it somehow.

    That's one way to do it. You just have to be careful that the person you're hiring knows something about what you're selling. Somebody who doesn't understand games won't be a good person to market for you if you're selling games.

    Well, it's not exactly a game, it's a story written as four novels that I'm trying to promote across multiple platforms. Video Game, Visual Novel, Conventional Novel, E-Books, and anything else it can work with. I guess a Literary Marketer would be ideal.

    Um... Study human behavior, psychology, sociology, and current successful marketing campaigns.


    I'm not fond of people and I wouldn't trust someone else to market my product in the first place. It's easier to just take a week or so to familiarize yourself with the process and then do it yourself. At least, that's my opinion.

    Interface testing goes well and reviews are mostly very positive thus far. With the foundation in place, I can start producing these like a crazy person.

    Well, I made it for my own project really and was just hoping for opinions on it. It's a mashup of a few easy systems, including the Shaz Mouse and a few simple visual overlays.

    Made an entire image based parallel process menu system in 4 hours. Still can't align the mouse. *sigh*
