    Angels and other divine entities always seem that way. Well, its always a nice troupe subversion even though its been done to death.

    Angels were seen as inhuman in form, just look at some of the descriptions: wheels within wheels covered in eyes, being with multiple eyes, many wings, larger than entire planets, three faced beings wreathed in flame, eyes made of fire and lightning, etc. Nothing like the sexy men and women with feathered wings. Fear not, mortal!

    A side story is almost getting into the next stage. Almost everything in this game has real-life references.

    The Dark Toon art style is now available as Steam branches. (Both for the main game and the demo)

    There are 2 versions. One only affects combat, cutscene, and portraits. The other one changes more.
    So, technically, the game now has 7 versions on steam.

    I may change all potential art-style change branches into Steam workshop mods instead of just Steam branches later. But, that will require I hook in the Steam workshop first. (That's scheduled after the game gets into Early Access. After all, the steam workshop requires players to actually "own" the game. So, the demo/public beta does not work.)

    The game is totally not for cult recruitment. As of yet, we have not summoned Cthulhu.
    Unfortunately, besides that, many issues still need to be fixed for more common fellows.

    I did an experiment to try to solve the art style problem between RTP and 3D models.

    This is starting to look pretty cool man. I'd take out some of the black outline. The main thing is to make the 3d models look like the cartoony sprites that fills the majority of the game. Ditch the wand and put a hunting knife or something for the mouse cursor. Everything is looking like it belongs there in the game now. Keep it up!
    Certainly, later engines may have more autotiles in one tileset than RMXP. But, that's an illusion. I can just turn it all autotiles into normal tileset and use a script to automatically adjust. And, the size of RMXP's tileset is unlimited. :kaojoy:

    While it may not be limited, adding too many tiles can cause your game to lag badly.

    I don't speak German or Russian. Thus, I am trying to make an AI do the translation.
    However, I just realized I have no idea to tell whether the result is good or bad. :kaoswt2:
    Anyway, as the template has been set. The text files can be easily modified in case anyone is interested to improve the results.

    Yes, the current goal is just to establish a few localization templates, trying to localize a few UI as examples, providing tools for anyone who is interested to localize the game into their languages. (Most languages shall have no problem except maybe Arabic which is currently too complex for my system).

    On the other hand, maybe technology will eventually advance to achieve much better machine translation in the future. I need to make sure that I have prepared the ground when that day comes. :kaojoy:

    On the logical level, the cars didn't hit the monk. They stop before the collide can happen. (Otherwise, it will trigger a damage pop-up). The monk is just quoting something randomly from Buddism books. In this video, he says "For as long as space endures. And for as long as living beings remain, Until then may I too abide To dispel the misery of the world."

    OK, I found a way to stop videos that are playing under the RGD environment. The only drawback is a second of black screen when it transitions back to the game. Still better than RGSS3's video control.
    I fixed a bug that I am unable to reproduce. It ends up as a bug related to the computer's I/O speed and cache. Thanks to a friendly player's help. >.>
    GetAsyncKeyState didn't work as intended. So, I have to update the states every frame. I guess... I debugged all the way from script to WIN32API :kaoswt2:

    OOOOK! it's not a good idea to call an update for all keys with WIN32API (especially when there is also a steam layer between them).
    The optimization solution is shooting some arrays to GetKeyboardState.

    It's mostly something for non-RGD/non-Steam version of the game. RGD has default keyboard support. I am just implementing everything on RGSS layer... :kaoswt2:

Let's continue making our game in MZ! Touchfuzzy is... still eventing... though this time we may be working on eventing some tutorial stuff for our players!

I work late on the game so I sleep in then I wake up late so I have to work hard to make up for sleeping in meaning I work late again and sleep in again... what a nasty cycle.
I just had my first real fire. Dad made burgers for lunch and the grill caught fire. He tried to get water but I told him you should never put water on a grease fire. So I got him the fire extinguisher under the sink and we managed to put it out. I can still smell a little of the smoke coming from the patio, but at least it's clearing. It sure was scary though.

Could not for the life of me figure out how to implement the dual/triple techs in Touch the Stars in a player-friendly way. Was describing all the problems to my wife and just rubber-ducked a solution that should work brilliantly.
