First time for my AI to do a voice-over for a developer diary.
It has been a long way to make a voice so beautiful.
The voice in some old trailers is just disastrous.
I introduced "booby trap" as another indirect way to fight supernatural threats in the game.
But, some of my players are using it to blow up random citizens on the street.
Not sure how "creative" they can go with it.
A music player with all the RMXP's pitch up/down functions.
I can't find any public domain music to play with.
So, I am using Trump's speech just to make fun. In theory, it can make nightcore/anti-nightcore versions of any audio files very easily.
And, you don't really need to dump all the audios into the game's bgm folder.
Working on a case. Get all the evidence to prosecute some bad guys.
But, the game development schedule delayed.
The moral of the story: No good deed goes unpunished... I guess...
Except that, nothing to see here.
A side story is almost getting into the next stage. Almost everything in this game has real-life references.
Everyday life is full of absurdity. This is just a reflection.
The Dark Toon art style is now available as Steam branches. (Both for the main game and the demo)
There are 2 versions. One only affects combat, cutscene, and portraits. The other one changes more.
So, technically, the game now has 7 versions on steam.
Time to add the support for import/export default RMXP maps. Maybe there will be customized tileset support later. In theory, I can reimplement the entire RMXP inside this RMXP-made game to make more RMXP games.
Certainly, later engines may have more autotiles in one tileset than RMXP. But, that's an illusion. I can just turn it all autotiles into normal tileset and use a script to automatically adjust. And, the size of RMXP's tileset is unlimited.
I don't speak German or Russian. Thus, I am trying to make an AI do the translation.
However, I just realized I have no idea to tell whether the result is good or bad.
Anyway, as the template has been set. The text files can be easily modified in case anyone is interested to improve the results.
"The Great Wall is great. But, most people can only be the slaves who built it, leaving their bones underneath that wall. They spent their whole life to build that wall and the empire, an empire that enslaves them." I'm just going to turn it into a modern-day sad tale.
I woke up a touch early and was going to draw by the fireplace until it’s a more appropriate noise-making time, but I left my stylus AND my glasses (WHAT?!) upstairs and it’s just too cold to get out of the blanket now.
Made some simple samples with the Time Reversal Mechanic. It would be interesting to make a bigger puzzle where you could dynamically choose which elements are affected by the time reverse. But if there's much more than move routes and waits, it's starts to get too annoying for my brain Like even that exploding bomb was such a bother.
