  • It seems that RPG Maker MZ is using the same Spanish translation I did in time for the MV re-translation project. If that is the case, I'm really glad about it!
If there are any mods or admins online, could you please see about the re-translation pages for RPG Maker MV? They are all down :rsad:

Do you have a link? I'm not sure what you are talking about. (I realize the link won't work, but I can try to get it to the right person.)

    @mlogan Here: Aluxes Translation Server
I've also opened a thread in the MV support boards, asking for more support for the re-translation, if RMMV is not going to be updated anymore in the near future.
My new computer is ready! I need to test it with something powerful! :MV3:

    @MushroomCake28 @bgillisp The specs are:
    - Intel Core i5 9400 (2.9 GHz base frequency, up to 4.1 GHz with Intel® Turbo BoostTechnology, 9 MB cache, 6 cores)
    - RAM SDRAM DDR4-2666 16 GB (2 x 8 GB)
    - 1 TB (7200 rpm) SATA + 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
    - NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (GDDR5 6 GB)
I think this will be capable to run MV better than my 6-7 years old laptop xD

Nice, but why i5-9400 over R5 3600? It's cheaper, has hyperthreading, similar single threaded performance and higher (very) multithreading performance. Unless intel is cheaper in your country of course.

@MushroomCake28 It's the one that came with this computer xD

Also, after having an AMD CPU on my last two computers, I wanted to try something else. I think Intel fits very well with all the things I want to do.
Now I know that some games need to run on "Power-saving" mode in order to work properly, including videos or cutscenes *facepalm*

That's odd. Never heard of anything like that before.

@FleshToDust Neither I. However, I noticed it when was trying to run OBS Studio, and gave me some crashes. I searched on Google about the problem, and it seems that some programs and games are incompatible with high performance mode on laptop graphic cards, specially AMD ones.

@FleshToDust After changing to power-saving mode, the OBS Studio program and some other games works really well, even Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana, that gave some problems not playing the animated cutscenes.
The "Additional Power Saving options" feature on AMD GPUs is a bunch of garbage. It was lagging RPG Maker MV all this time.

@The Stranger Perhaps because all that is related to AMD is garbage? xD

I've got AMD, and it's not garbage per se, it's just that it has a combined CPU and GPU - which was not a good idea. So yeah, MV lags, and several other software don't run at all. My next laptop will not be AMD.

@Kes Same here, my card is an AMD Radeon HD 8610G + HD 8600M Dual Graphics, from the AMD Radeon HD 8600M Series. It is a combined CPU and GPU too. When you change a thing without knowing what it does, it can break the way some programs work xD
Now I'm feeling like an idiot for having W10 on a computer made for W8.1. Everything runs fine now! :kaocry:

I'm using 7 on a computer that was running 8 if that makes you feel better ;p

It's just I can't believe everything is working fine now that I've brought back my laptop to its original state, with W8.1 instead of 10. In the end, W10 had too much compatibility problems with my integrated GPU/CPU, and now I can notice a big difference between the two OS.
RPG Maker MV on Switch, XBox One and PS4? Is this some kind of joke?!
Another update, another bug report. Yep, this is a constant with MV.

Do I think it's normal that there are bugs? Yes.
Would I be angry if I actually used MV? No, because
you can always revert back to the previous update (whether you're on Steam or you have the standalone version).
Also, you weren't forced to update. (Unless of course, you forgot to turn off automatic updates on Steam.)

@slimmmeiske2 I always have the auto-updates disconnected, since the 1.5.1. Is probably the best version we have at the moment (except for my projects, that are in 1.4.1 because they work better in desktop and plugins works better). Of course, I'm not forced to update, BUT, in theory, updates are needed to fix errors or add new functions. In THEORY, of course.

@slimmmeiske2 And of course, someone that owned the MV in the pre-release is in his right to express what he thinks about all that it's happening with this updates. And I'm not going to change my mind until I see and update that really fix this mess with lag, frame drops, audio lag, audio delay, and all those bugs (new or old ones) that are not solved yet.
A suggestion for the staff members and developers of this forums (see the comments below this message).
Well, it seems that I can't longer use RPG Maker MV since the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, due to the problems with my GPU and CPU.

@bgillisp At least, RPG Maker VX and 2003 are working fine, and that means I can continue with my projects... in some way.

If you can do a rollback to pre-Creator, it might be worth it. I'm busy declining to accept the update because I know it won't be stable for at least another 3-4 months, when MS will have had a lot of bug reports. Hate how they treat the public as a free mass beta test project.
    Oscar92player

@Kes I tried one time to do a rollback, and it was the worst decision. Windows Defender stopped working, so I have to update the computer again in order to get it working without problems again (also, I don't have any anti-virus program installed, so Windows Defender is the only protection I have for my PC).

You know.. I... I kinda lost my interest in living a long time ago. What sustains me is a lack of interest in dying.
Like a star that is balanced between the forces of gravity and outward pressure, I feel like the energy to produce that outward pressure is weakening. I feel like I should pull a Stardew Valley and revert to a more primitive lifestyle, away from others. :(
made more sprite for the Time passing game that I may or may not actually make. At least now I have a better idea how to make Rtp Walk sprites actually look wrinkly and old, since the Generator doesn't do that.
Well, now all of my Refreshable Events scripts also feature some brand new demos to let people see how easy it is to let the script handle the refreshing of a given set of events. All of this with just one specific script call per event!
