    What's the problem with MV? It works fine and it's stable now. Also it's not worth updating it anymore, all Yanfly's plugin might break and he retired so won't be there to fix them (same for many other good plugin makers).
    I think they provided enough updates already (3 years), the engine performs much better now than the older versions.

    MV is "fine" but we were promised a lot of things that havent been added to it yet, but were planned, and now obviously will never come.

    I bought MV and VX Ace, but if thats how kadokawa is going to do things, I'm not buying RPG Makers anymore

    @Dalph Yanfly's plugins are being updated by other people. All the money he got for them is set aside to pay others to keep them up to date, and, I believe, to port them to new engines if necessary.
    Gonna try to raise the max player/event limit in my game to 1000 per server and then benchmark it to see what happens
    does people watch game making streams? Been thinking about doing one of those, but dunno if I should

    I done it for a while. People watch it, just wont be as many at first. Just have to keep them streams coming. For me it something you have to spend some time getting good at. But I say go for it!

    I can't decide if a stream of me deving would be entertaining, or just tedious when you see how much internal testing I do. I really do just kind of dev by "breaking stuff" till it works, so I test a lot of "ideas". And when the smoke clears, I keep the winners. :LZSexcite:
    new NW.js reduced the RAM consumption of my game to 100~200MB. I just wish the devs would just test it more before publishing, as it now crashes when a script runs

    Is it crashing because they've introduced a bug in the update? Or were you just using something that now works differently and you have to adjust for it? It's standard practice that if you use someone else's software and they issue an update and you take it, you then have to do a heap of testing to see if any of your stuff has broken because of the update, and to fix it.

    they re-introduced a somewhat recent problem with worker threads by the looks of it. After testing various parts of my script, I found that trying to create a worker thread will simply crash the application.

    This used to happen up until NW.js 0.43 or so, then they made a patch that didn't properly fix it, and then another that fixed but now its broken again. I wish their devs would test it more before publishing a new version -_-
    welp, the stock market went down by 7% because of corona today. Time to buy stocks?

    I wouldn't think you'd need your own dedicated server for a game. Free wordpress site is a good option, but you can buy a domain name and get hosting for as little as $5 a month in some places.

    well I do need a server(VPS) since the game is online. As is right now no one is going to play it since there are no servers to play on

    who would imagine that in 2019, nearly 2020, a game would be region locked on steam.

    but in this case(I was talking about crossout btw), the game is available in like 4 languages(english included), and has many servers world wide. It simply makes no sense to do that(and honestly angers me)

    a single word change in my server script improved its performance to handle message by up to 35%
    I've started learning Lua today. Seems like a quite good/fun language to work with.

Did this randomly in my free time, I guess today is a good day to show it.
If I were to not exaggerate, I would say that I have changed my damage formula about a million times by now. Give or take 1 or 2.
Son passed his second swimming exam *celebrations*
Super Mighty Pack is set to come out at like 6:09 EST today. It is not free, it will have a subscription service.
Time to wrap things up and release a demo of my game.
