    I don't believe it to be a concern, specially with the growing emulation and compatibility modes available (you can even emulate DOS into dosbox...) If there is enough people with the same problem as you are, some solution will be found... maybe even RPG Maker inc. offer a "from the box"...

    Maybe it's due to the game styles that I like (puzzle - action - jrpg), but it felt cleaner. By replaying, a "Zelda - Link's Awakening" I just now realize that Link's had only 2 sprites per movement (usually there used to be 3).

    I believe you're right.... I focused on 16x16pix style and 32x32pix comparison... That I may have used the wrong terminology. 8, 16 and 32 bits may refer more to the processor and color pallet, than pixel size itself.

Just got a better look at the MZ RTP. I'm very happy with it, especially the sci-fi tiles and sprites. Glad I pre-ordered.
I've just checked the VisuStella Plugins for MZ and there are already 11 plugins. The Yanfly team(perhaps a big one?) really works so effectively and efficiently that some MZ users can likely use tons of Yanfly plugins right after MZ's released (still 13 days from now). I wonder if any other plugin developer(or team) will try to compete with Yanfly this time, no matter how slim the chance to win is :)
