MV has been out for long enough that many people don't need the forum as a tool anymore, so things have calmed down a lot. It's a little sad, but many of the missing aren't gone forever, they're just not around as often. I expect to see a lot of old faces when we get a new engine. Eventually.

That actually should read no more than 2 status updates in 24 hours. So you should wait until 24 hours from your last update before posting another.

The problem is that with people from all over the world, they see it with time stamps from their own time zone. So let's say that you post a 2 updates at 11:00 pm and 11:30 pm. Then two more at 12:30am and 1:00 am the next day. Yes, you've followed the rule. But someone from a different time zone is going to see 4 updates in one day, from their time. This is why we need to change the rule to 24 hours, not one day.

Wait til Thursday/Friday. I remember my first year here there was a 8 hour or so interval where no mods logged in. The users posted many pictures of bread in response.

Things are going to change throughout development pretty consistently, so I don't think that a rough draft is weird by any means. If anything it helps you make those changes sooner which helps progress move along quicker later on.

Some people use game design documents as such. It contains everything they plain to use for the game; rough story outline, character info, etc...

That sort of thing. The possibilities are numerous.
