  • Picked up a 6th gen iPod touch. Haven't had an iOS device since iOS 6 on my iPhone 3GS circa 2012. It's pretty spiffy, but smaller than my Nexus- but at least it'll allow me to test/dev with iOS.

    I need to get a Mac so I can do some testing with my phone. I ended up getting one when I took over my account so my dad wasn't paying my phone bill anymore, and seeing as my most advanced device was the iPod 5th that got a ton of use, it made sense to get one and transfer over all the things.

    Potentially looking into adding an iPad to the mix as well; Probably less important for RM, but I'm tinkering with stuff in Xamarin, as well as Swift, in addition to what I normally do with Android. Did take a look at Windows Phones, but market is not worth bothering with, especially with all of Microsoft's support for Android.

    Also, reasonable pricing for "adventuring gear" vs. necessities. If a sword costs the same as the ingredients for a simple dinner, something's very, very wrong somewhere...

    Selling a complete game with all rights to it- yea or nay? (clarification: I'm interested in making a game, but not actually releasing it or maintaining it after release)

    Ehh. Most people buying rights to a game to sell will want maintenance anyway. You'll make more money just selling it yourself and then you can hire people to maintain it.
    What kind of scripts are people interested in these days? If I work on any, they'll be dependent on lolicon

    Is there any interest in complex crafting systems? (would have an integrated gathering/mining/farming system too)

    Oh, so you're making a defined palette. I don't agree that it needs more colors, but I do think the coloring is a bit boring. Make your color ramps less straight or use some actual color and not just grey, it'll make a big difference.
    I wonder if releasing content as PD (feel free to claim it as your own) or WTFPL will make RM a cooler place?

    @Seacliff: I'm not sure what you mean? They're both essentially the same thing, in that they let you do whatever you want with released content, although the latter falls under software/code really.

    Either Public Domain or WTFPL, someone can take something I've released under those terms, and claim as their own (if they want), mutilate it (if they want), sell it (if they want)...etc.

    @Ultim: There's nothing inherently wrong with that. Releasing it under WTFPL literally means that, 'Hey, you can do whatever the Frick you want to with this.', even if that means selling it.

I am adamant about not having missable quests, which means having to write entirely new scenes at each plot progression that takes into account that time and events have passed since the quest could first be accepted while still having there be a quest to solve in the first place. It's worth every second.
