  • itch.io support came back to me so now my game, that was just barely scratching the limit, will be able to be played on a browser
finally finished the 1st part of my game, it'll be releasing this friday after 7 months of work

the game is going to have 3 chapters with two parts to them, and now i've finished chapter 1, part one with a good hour of gameplay and a seperate route already starting
playing around animations with character sprites. having parallel events playing around with variables while also having an event have that same variable does wonders.
How long time does it takes to wait for forum approval?

I mean you CAN edit everything. The question that remains is only whether the effort required to force a foreign concept upon RPG Maker exceeds the effort required to learn another engine that is natively more suited to your vision.

I do have to ask what for, though. Because if you're a freshly minted developer, I would think it's more important to work on the basics of your game before going out and editing code/putting scripts in.

@RCXGaming its more of a silly thought then anything
last time i posted here somehow the amount of viewers on my post went down? unless im mistaken on how viewing posts work, as in one person sees it and it records it, then im not sure what happened.

current game theory: the souls of 7 people got sucked into their computer and they forgot about my existence.

Where do you even see this? I don't see anything on any page that indicates people viewing a post. I would also presume if it uses that word, it's the number of people currently on that page, not the total people who have clicked on it. That would be more like "Read by." "Viewing" is an active verb.

starting to feel more and more comfortable here, glad to see people aren't really toxic. other places ive been in weren't so nice.

That's good. I'm actually very shy, and the people here made it easy for me to warm up.

@sanguine1038 From my experience, the people here are completely sincere in how they react and due to RPG Maker's ease of access, there's a lot of consideration put into how to react to new people... because it's likely they were at that point themselves.

So it makes sense that for as rough as the people here sound, things are usually said out of love and not malice. That's what I think, anyway.

if anyone here thinks this place is toxic, take up mod development and ask for help on the Forge Modding wiki. :kaophew:
still cursed with having an issue then solving it myself as soon as someone else explains it to me/is trying to help.

sure hope nobody thinks im weird not responding to them after they're only trying to help.

Think of it this way: if you don't respond then people who Google the same question and find your thread will get mad not knowing the results. Just throwing in a quick, "This works, thanks!" will give everyone closure, heh. <3

Or, if you're feeling socially anxious and can't convince yourself to type words that someone might actually read (I've been there) just "like" their responses to your question. That way, you've acknowledged their assistance, at the very least. Although, a thank you is always better

didnt think about it that way, thanks guys!
Been thinking about how scary it can be to talk in a forum. Back then I mostly focused on the SCP Wiki forums and whenever an article ever got deleted there was almost no feedback, at least that's how it was for me. Now I've been wandering around here and I've seen mostly positive people who are only trying to help.

    Many thanks :)

Around most circles I've been most programmers and people doing tutorials have always been aggressive for no reason and most of the time when people don't understand what they're saying they just call me and others unteachable.

My mom showed up yesterday and I wanted to proudly show off my comic con web page. So of course, it no longer existed. I guess when the 4 day event was over they removed it.

I died aged 27 to cancer. Then I was reborn in a South-American state. I retained all memories and skill and had a goal from my previous life I needed to finish, but now I was just a 1-year-old girl capable of only smiling at others.

Dreams like this one make me glad I'm able to wake up from them at will.
