It'd be cool if you started the game with an overgrown, and unworked, plot of land, and had to build it up over time. You could upgrade various areas, too.

      Greetings Shaz,

Do you know what is the message plugin that he is using in this game? The game title is Stargazer
, I like the message style of his game, it is similar to Galv's message plug in, however the difference is, there's an image/picture beside the message.

Exceeded all my expectations (except the original's soundtrack was better). The changes they made from the comics were actually improvements (for like the first time ever).

I've never read any of the comics, so it's all new to me. Including the character who was introduced right at the end (got to watch the credits) - Mark knew who he was / will be, but I don't have a clue.

This is why when I made a doodad script back in Ace, I made sure it can be used to fetch doodads directly from tilesets. XD

How did you handle blocks of tiles that contained more than one doodad? Like a tree that has other stuff on either side of the trunk in order to use up blank tiles? Did you release your script?
        Apr 18, 2017
      5. Engr. Adiktuzmiko
        Engr. Adiktuzmiko
Well, the tilesets I used so far didn't have those kind of tiles. But in theory, I can just choose to show that doodad as several parts. Like if a tree is 3x3 but the upper left and upper right tiles are actually not part of the tree, then I can choose to show rows 2 and 3 as one doodad, then show the upper mid tile as another doodad.

        Nah I didn't coz it's not user-friendly XD

Someone on facebook just commented that his beans had lots of flowers but didn't set much fruit, and he thought the erotic weather might be to blame.  I replied that I think he might have meant erratic, but that they might concentrate on things other than fruiting if the weather was erotic.  His reply was rather confused and he clearly didn't understand.  I'm now waiting for the penny to drop.

I saw an article the other day about the now defunct Holy Land USA Theme park. At one point the wrote, " This theme park was interned for all people, no matter their race or religion, anyone could find peace. The park closed in 1984, when Greco passed away."  Not a single person could understand why that sentence frustrates me, and even less people realize that if the park was interned it was definitely a nasty evil place. They couldn't understand that the proper word is "intended"

Watering my vegie garden each day after work, to relax, and to keep up with what's going on.  Tomatoes are ripening, basil is looking excellent, zucchinis are prolific.  Waiting for the potatoes to die back so we can dig and see if anything actually grew (all our potato attempts in previous years have been dismal failures).  Really chuffed when we discovered that we have baby watermelon and baby rockmelon!  I've been looking for them every day, but the vines are so thick and the leaves so large, I haven't been able to find any.  Today we found around 6 (watermelons), and there are bound to be more - larger than fist-sized.  Awesome!!!

Thinking about how to best cater for the lack of a 'back' button on touch devices (no, tapping with two fingers or whatever the method is is not intuitive, so not good enough) has led to some screen redesign, which has led to some more screen redesign, which I think is going to lead to completely rewriting pretty much every menu screen, probably as children of Scene_Map.  I am never going to finish this game!

In other news, 3.5 days into my new/old job.  The work isn't hard, but I've been so mentally exhausted by the time I get home in the afternoons.  It's getting better with each day, so hopefully after the first week things will settle down.  I have forgotten so much in the 15 months I've been away!  I'm struggling with the most simple things.  Need to spend a couple of days reviewing the new-staff training material for a bit of a refresher.  Apart from a few new faces and lots of people changing their locations, it's almost like I was never away.

Have you ever made the decision to NOT help out in a thread, even though you probably could, because of who's asking?  I generally try to help where I can, especially if nobody else has responded, but sometimes I see who's posting and recall previous requests for assistance from them - either they have no regard for the rules and make things difficult for everyone, or they're rude and unappreciative, or they're just high maintenance - no matter what you do to help, your questions go unanswered and your suggestions untried, yet they still complain because nobody is helping them - in reality, lots of people are trying to help, but they're just making it hard to get anywhere.  (This isn't prompted by any threads I posted in today, but by a comment someone made earlier, and when I went to look further, I thought "oh, it's that person - I think I'll stay out of this one", then thought that's pretty out of character for me - wonder if others do that?)  I'm not sure if I should feel guilty or not.

It was me about 2-3 years ago. Now since there are more people who willingfully help each other, I feel I don't have to directly get involved into it, unless there are people who ask directly to me about what to do or what's what.

Might feel guilty at first occurences, but you'll develop it over time so don't punish yourself too much. Don't feel bad for too long time.

That's it - too much to cope with mentally, and lots of other things needing attention, so sometimes it saves a lot of time and energy to just stay out.  It's just sad that there are some people griping about the forum not being helpful, when every attempt has been made, and they don't consider it's sometimes their own fault that people don't help them.
