  • "RPG Games" = "Role Playing Game Games". Stop saying it.
I love it when someone who has no programming experience asks for a script/plugin/mod and says "it should be easy"

Funny enough I have actually looked at JS code of many different plugins. A lot of those that people think as simple - like a HUD or crafting or ammunition system - contain 1000s of lines of code :p

I feel so relaxed - a weight lifted from my shoulders. But I was stressed about 2 things and can't remember the second. Ignorance is bliss!
For the very last time, I've finally finished Zach's homeschool report & 2018 application. So glad I never have to do another one of those!
What is it with people and useless thread titles? Is it so hard to pick a few keywords from your question and use that in the subject line?
Planning a LOTR marathon tomorrow - last day before back-to-work :( I wonder if I can get away with pyjamas all day.
My new plugin for Sharm is almost 500 lines. That's just setting up & reading parameters.

500 lines isn't particularly a lot, but isn't small either.

I think the actual commands will require fewer lines than the parameters.

So after I took out the stuff I ended up not using, the plugin is 430 lines long. 75% of that is parameters :)
My paints and brushes have arrived after their "little detour". My easel is set up. I know what I'll be doing over the next 4 days!
I'm 3 hours from Brisbane. My parcel is now in Victoria. That's like sending something from Houston to NC when it needs to go to Dallas!
5 people with the same error on the same plugin. Told them all I'll debug if they send me a project. How many did? Big fat ZERO.

It's the same issue as a teacher. I tell students they can come by and ask me questions during this time, and I get a big fat zero.

Psh. How dare you expect them to do work to help you debug the plugin they toiled so hard to download for free! You're so greedy and selfish!

I know. I just expect too much. And now this morning I read that apparently Discord is the best place to get RPG Maker help, and not the forum at all. I'm shattered.
My easel arrived in Sydney overnight! Just a few more days to make its way up the east coast. I know what I'll be doing this weekend!

The artistic week-end was meant to be!!! :)

I once ordered something from Amazon, it was supposed to arrive in 1 to 3 months. o_O Nearly 3 months later I get a notification that the item is unavailable.

Easel arrived yesterday and we set it up after I got home. Paints were in Brisbane 2 days ago. I don't know where they are now. It would have taken me 3 hours max to drive and pick them up from there, so I don't know what's happened to them over the last 2 days.
I need larger painting canvases. Michael's are selling packs of 20 16"x20" for $40! They don't ship to Australia. Gonna go cry a bit now.

I only tried one on the weekend, and went a bit pear-shaped so I didn't finish it. Do oil paints "melt" in hot/humid weather? It seemed very soft.

Meh. Michael's doesn't ship to Canada either. :(
Maybe you can find a good Australian online shop to save on the shipping.

Do you mean that the paint of the tube looked soft, or that it melted off the canvas?
I've no 1st hand experience with oil paints but some take a lot of time to dry. If the painting stays in sunlight it probably slows down the drying too.

When I was mixing it with the knife, it was soft like butter. Much softer than it usually is. So it went on in "blobs" rather than just the tips of the bristles, if you know what I mean. I know it's going to be even softer, but I'm going to try one with water-soluble oil paint this weekend - just one with 2-3 colours.
Wednesday morning. Weekend cannot be here soon enough. I just want to paint again. Going to build an easel this weekend!

It must had been in the air I was feeling all Christmassy with my nebulaes. But you will love Bob Ross! ^^ Have you finished yet? You'll show us huh? It will definitely be useful with RPGM! ^^

Yes, I got two done over the weekend. Started a third but it wasn't going well and I was losing motivation, so left it until another time. Didn't build the easel - found a Bob Ross one at a really good price. Should arrive this week, hopefully.

When you are about to lose motivation think of someone you wish you could dedicate it to. Like I love you big like that mountain or deep like that forest? Sometimes it helps me. :D (Then again I like painting space :p)
Should have left for holidays 4 hrs ago but STILL waiting for our pets to be picked up. They were coming "early". It's now 2pm. Fuming!!!

I can understand about keeping the other patients history private and it taking all their attention as it goes. As long it isn't the story of the little dog in a pen devoured by the really big vicious ones!
    Shaz

That's my concern - if both dogs were owned by the same people and they're usually together, that's one thing and not the fault of the kennels. But if they're putting dogs together that don't know each other (they usually have a large recreation yard), then I'm concerned about that, because our dog is old and not aggressive at all, and would definitely come off second best against an aggressive dog.

I quite understand. I got my scaredy MrCat vaccinated today and the person who helps with my vet bills was kinda afraid humans touched her small dog but not put her small dog nose to nose to giant ones. Because she would not like to be responsible if "something" happened. I have a hide of scars and... Can handle dogs. ^_^; It is hard to tell who or what to watch these days.

It means many folks just have one monitor. At least not everything goes down when you lose half your monitors.

Good vacations. :3 (What is the use of the second one? I feel like crazy now that I have bigger than a 4:3 size like my eyes can't stop wandering after where I lost my mouse?)

haha - yes, I frequently lose my mouse. The monitor in the middle is on the laptop, and the other two are bigger, so if I try to move from them to the laptop monitor and the mouse is too high, it gets stuck in the corners.

XD In TV we used a computer screen and a sh*t-box wich was the very best standard NTSC TV tube with the very same image I worked on the BGs to be certain that what we worked on computer was seen on regular TV by viewers at home. XD we only were the only one with the crisp HD. :p It was only to make sure we didn't do extra work nobody at home would notice. But nowaday we wouldn't keep up!

2 days left of my 2.5 week vacation, and I have completed 1 of the 4 tasks I wanted to get done. Vacations are never long enough :(
Another working weekend ahead. Final push to finish a project by a ridiculous deadline that the people who set it didn't think we'd make.
I love these posts: "The game isn't doing what I think it should be doing. Therefore the engine must be buggy."

My first attempts were simple. I learned to play with the engine. And spent weeks and weeks just naming features and then programming them in the RM. Then I went on to making.
As for the RM, I don't have issues with bugs in MV, since I don't encounter them. But the engine is so inefficient, that is what I don't like.

Bah, I always just assume I'm doing something wrong unless reports suggest otherwise. Most problems are caused by good-ol-human-error!

Do I pick up one of my incomplete games?
Do I start something entirely new???
The possibilities are endless!
