I have the alarm set for 2 in the morning, so I can watch the meteor shower. Asked Zach if he wanted me to wake him up to see it if it was good, and he said probably. When I told him what time it would be, he changed his mind to probably not. "I'll just look up 'meteor shower' on youtube or something". I think my son may make too much use of technology.
Thread titles on first page of MV forum: "Help me please" "Help in Events" "Need help on a couple of things" "In need of help" - Do I need to start locking or warning people to start using half decent thread titles? If you're too lazy to come up with a half dozen words to say what you need help with, I'm not going to rush to provide the requested help.
Playing with Unity. Last time I touched it was before they introduced 2D, so I was trying to make a 2D game in a 3D system. I gave up. The changes since then are very nice (though right now I'm more interested in the 3D)
Note to self: Do not abbreviate your tile height variable and call it th. Because then you might have to search for it in your code. 190 hits, only 5 of them were the variable. The rest were this, Math, and width, as well as all the the, with, that, then ... in the comments.
I am searching for fruit trees that will grow locally. Surprised how many there are that I've never seen or heard of before. I think I will grow some in large pots so they can come with us if/when we move again.
Owners of our house came by today to investigate incorrectly-positioned fence. They couldn't believe such a huge mistake could be made, and will contact the builders to see about getting it fixed. They are happy for us to plant fruit trees galore and have poultry. So I might be getting poultry again

added a Panic gauge to battle. it fills up according to your actions. each character has a different passive that activates once the gauge is full. also once full, a countdown starts and after each action taken, the gauges decreases. with each character, the decrease is different.
Prototyping some overworld abilities. Some of the characters you'll meet on your journey can use special overworld skills to travel around. This can be something like digging holes in the ground or getting hints towards your next objective.
