    I think it is just assumed that everyone who frequents an RPG Maker forum (or maybe game development forums in general) is a boy unless otherwise stated. Or unless they're an artist - then it's assumed they're a girl.

    It wasn't scary, it was hilarious. Yeah blue is bold, but not too intimidating. If I were a mod, it would go according to my mood. On fabulous days the text would be in all the colors of the rainbow. (That's why I'll never be a mod)

    I spoke too soon :( 2 calls so far this morning, and I had no idea how to help with either of them. Gotta love doing support when you've had no training in the areas you're supporting.

    Tonight is my first night doing on-call support. Any time from now (6:45pm) until 8:30 in the morning I could get a call to fix something at work. I believe they usually happen around 3 am. The on-call phone ring tone is like a steam train whistle. And I have to keep it beside my bed. This is going to be one fun week!

    I didn't actually get any calls last night (hope it stays that way). But with the number of times I woke up wondering what time it was (as I knew what times calls might be likely to come in), and pushing my cat away when she kept butting my face with her head, wanting attention, I may as well have been up half the night :( Oh well, the pay should be good.

    :( Wishing I was still on holidays, or working from home. Support is a horrible role for me - if THIS were the job advertised, I wouldn't have applied. Wish it wasn't mandatory.

    A new thing, not long before we started. Everyone who works in our little section has to do a 6-month period on support. I am 4 months into it, hating it, and think it's a bad idea - it reflects badly on our department and our business to have people supporting systems they know nothing about.

    House hunting today. Wish it was for our own, but no, only a rental again. Next time. Amazing how nothing suitable "out of town" has come up in 6 months, and the moment we decide to consider "in town", we've found several suitable places out of town.

    We have a date for the house we're in to go on the market, so now we're no longer "just looking". I don't mind moving - it's all the searching beforehand that's draining. Especially with a 13YO who has very specific requirements. Can't blame him though - I want pretty much the same things he does :)

    The slightly-too-expensive, "no cats inside, but we won't tell the owner" house is very nice. VERY nice. And the agent is very nice too. We are tempted.

    Only a couple of possibles, including this one, have come up in the last 6 months since we started looking. We need to move before September. So, grab a house that could be risky, or risk no others being available in the remaining time ...

    which pets? Here we a general law that small pets (fishes, hamster etc.) are always allowed inside a flat no matter what the contract says.

    Yay for Friday afternoons! If I can fix all the mistakes and retest the programs for my work project in the next 3.5 hours, I won't have to work this weekend. Not sure how I'll go, as it's taken me 2.9 weeks to even GET TIME to look at them! Fingers crossed ...

    No, couldn't be so lucky. It's going to be quite a big task, but I don't know if it's worth going in on the weekend as I need to talk to the project lead (reviewer) for some things. Mind you, he'll probably be in there on the weekend anyway.

    I detest performance reviews. If you think I'm doing a good job, keep me. If you think I'm doing a great job, pay me more. If you think I'm not, fire me. I could care less about the bonus, and hate having to justify a yearly pay rise.

    I work in a bank. Everyone has to do them. This will be one weight on the "to leave" side of the scale when I am considering whether to stay or not. I wish they were optional - don't do it, not eligible for the bonus, and that's that.

    Kanax, that would require people to actually READ the forum rules, and we ALL know THAT doesn't happen! And we don't delete threads - we just hide them. I should hide them and wait for someone to PM me asking where there thread went. When I ask them what the thread was about and they tell me, I can say I don't remember seeing any thread with a title anything like that :)
