My first live systems support task: 10 minutes to confirm everything that's needed and to assess the impact of the change; 5 minutes to make the change, including documentation, 3 hours and counting to test, because of incorrect permissions, poor test data, disabled ftp access ... *sigh*
Have just discovered that a piece of client/server software that I paid a whole swag of money for assumes you're on a Windows server. The only times I've ever used a Windows server were all within a single company/location - any distributed stuff was always based on linux. Now fingers crossed they'll give me a refund
Survived the first day. Onto #2. I'm sooooo tired And since the third new employee isn't starting until next week, we're not actually going to be doing any real training. So it's all just reading and induction this week.
I've been working on plugins to make it easier to incorporate Persona 3's Once More batsys into MV games. One makes it so you can have states automatically applied to the target and/or user when their hit crits or targets a weakness... I could use testers for it, though. Maybe I'll make a thread in the JS Plugins In Development board about it?
