I've been cleaning up the code for my custom sprite effects for actors and enemies.

I'm happy with the results so far. I cheated like heck to get the actors to "change tone" though.

I finally did an array, though I think it needs work. I had it add a bunch of states passively. Except I put death in the array by mistake, so the second I hit new game the screen instantly went to game over. Is that what it's like to play dark souls?

I moved back to MV awhile ago, having effekseer, mz, and clip paint was turning my laptop fan into an attack helicopter. But I did learn some tricks so it wasn't a waste. Just wish I would have bought it for steam though in case I got a new comp.

Today, is my final day of the free trial. Spent it working on an alternative to my front-view battle system.I think I like this enough that I'm going to end up buying MZ tomorrow.

Sprites seem to get a bit distorted when you play with scale.y , I'm gonna have to take points off for that.

Got enemies to attack the screen in MZ. But I had to kind of rig side-view mode to get that to happen. But if it works it works I guess?

Only thing I can't seem to port over, is visible enemy attacks during front view mode. Might be due to the new animation stuff.

Wanted to experiment on making a fishing mechanic. So far it's an unholy marriage of script, game vars, and a common event. Might try to get it to be pure script eventually.

Spent like an hour and a half trying and failing at making enemy hp bars. Things would be going faster if I just caved and decided to use other people's scripts.

Made a simple system where one troop can be controlled by variables to change the 3 monsters that appear in it. Pretty much inspired by Pokemon-like games where you fight similar grouped battles over and over.
