    Degica is the world-wide publisher. Enterbrain developed VX Ace. Spike Chunsoft (Honestly what even is that name?) developed MV, as far as I'm aware. Kadokawa (KDKW) is the parent compant to both Enterbrain and Spike.


    Degica is a separate company that helps publish products world wide, doing things like community management and translation, I believe. Ultimately, Degica can recommend things that the community wants, but KDKDW gets the final say for development, and promotions held by Degica.

    Nice explanation.  Degica isn't just working with KDKW though, they have other clients too.  I think they mostly translate and distribute games.

    I know each online community has a bit of a "niche" when it comes to what each does... where is the best place to post a story idea or even a demo with the basic story fleshed out to get feedback and possible ideas on how to "tie it together"?

    ace at standard resolution 8 tiles distance will never allow the player to see the rooms on either side.

    I use 20 tiles. Overboard, but this way if I learn one interior needs an extra 2 - 3 tiles I'm still safe.

    If you're on a map with a lot of water, sometimes it pays to have naval superiority... especially if you blockade ports of other cities or just generally destroy every ship you run across. Computers love to waste resources on huge naval fleets, even when they're unnecessary.

    Thank you everyone this gave me some options. ...I WILL Let's Play again!! ^_^ I tried the Lolilo before but there (again) was a limitation of not being able to edit without paying, and all the video and audio recorded in the same channel. I like to edit it before uploading to YouTube to remove some of the boring parts or if I screw up the point I'm trying to make (as I'm just doing reviews on my channel right now). I agree with Shaz, and I know I don't have the right...

    It takes a bit of getting used to. Once you get into the first major area that lets you kind of "free roam" around it, it gets more interesting. Though, the stealth mechanic is a bit.... broken. If you want a good stealth game, pick up Deus Ex Human Revolution instead. Dishonored is mostly good for magic and experimentation.

    When you get stucko n ONE project, and you get ideas for another, write them down. Don't leave behind a project like it's an old toy. If you get stuck, get up, stretch. Take a light walk. Get the blood pumpin'. :)

    Starcrescendo, the best advice I can offer, if you are going for multiple projects at one time, would be to KEEP THEM SMALL. I have finished off 3 games now, all of them about 3o mins of gameplay each, NONE of them an RPG. I am working on a 4th, 5th, and 6th game right now (whilst learning Ruby...)

    Thanks for the advice! It gets really frustrating sometimes. I've redone my intro multiple times because I keep wanting to tie everything together sometimes and its hard and it feels like a big old black hole... The multiple project thing seems to work well for the most part, because I've never gotten stuck on all 3 projects at one time. I definitely need to take your advice and work a lot SMALLER.

    Don't feel too bad, I taught an online class once with the mic not plugged in. Took me a while to figure out why they said I sounded so distant (as the pc mic was picking me up instead)

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
