My game is SO close to being done! Just a few ending scenes to finish!! To anyone else, it may be crap, but you know what? It's MY crap and I am proud of it! LOL. Almost a year of work near completion! What am I gonna do now.....
Just made out like a bandit on the RPGMaker Web store. LOL.
Can't WAIT to try out Luna Engine (yeah, I'm a bit behind the times) and the Retro Halloween tiles are SO under priced that even without the sale going on, they are more than worth it! Bought other stuff too, and it's great, but those are my current favs.
So after hours and hours of trying to figure out why my game was only getting 5-7 fps, I figured out that I had a map missing. Where it went, how it got there and why, I can only guess. But after making a new map I am back up to normal fps. Literally took me 2 days to figure out. So now I am gonna have a beer and take a long nap!
Anyone here managed to never burn out on programming? My current limit is 3 months(6-8 hours per day, 7 days per week, 50 hour programming week on average), and then I just have to take a break, sometimes lasting few days(with at most 2 hours on programming per day). I've been always like this so far, so I admire those who can always be so passionate on programming
Automatic level scaling without an option to turn it off can be a very bad choice for a game. The worst I've ever seen was in Nightmare of Druaga, where if a power outage made your system turn off, the game detects it as an attempted cheat and overwrites your save while taking away your best gear, leaving you unable to progress at the late stages of the game, and unable to recover.
