  • Sometimes it amazes me how long it takes to work on some small things... But then I get it done and smile because even the small things are just so awesome.
Exhausting couple of days... Time to clean up some rescaled XP tiles and hope that I'm passable enough at pixel art to make it look good.

Also recentering some MV shelves... the way the place on the map either right on top of or a distance away from walls is crazy-making.
Canada + November + No furnace thermocouple = sense of panic.

"Warm." Ha. All that means is I'm more likely to get the flu. Does not mean I can go without a furnace. =P

This was me last year. I survived with a space heater. If you do the same just make sure it's meant for long term indoor use so you don't accidentally kill yourself.

I have a decent one going (with a tip sensor and overheating sensor) but it's just not enough. Hoping hoping to get repairs effected soon. Tomorrow if I am lucky.
Aw. Is lunch over already? Oh, well. I tested some battle backgrounds, made a blog post, put a fog overlay on my forest town, and started on some initial character stat curves. Not bad.
Phew... first blog post here. Not so good at this social media thing, but if I'm going to be making games, I darn well better catch up.
Yay, I found a way to make the MV backgrounds look like some other ones that I got. Hooray for selection!
Such good progress, and then I hit a wall! I guess that makes it a good time for bed. Zzz...
You don't really realize how much water you arbitrarily run down the drain until you don't have running hot water...

Yeah you can conserve a lot more turning it off even shortly during small moments you aren't using it like during dishes.

Well, not just that - I can get the same kind of clean as a shower using a large pot (dutch oven) of warm water... The shower would probably fill it a few times over.
Wah... gutting my old tileset builder and remaking it nearly from scratch. It kind of sucks. But given that's how I'm doing it, it may be easier to start with Ace compatibility and add MV after...
I'm hoping it will be easier for people to understand how to use my new tileset builder. Seems like there's really no nice way to work with graphics you can't include with the program.
Well, Win10 non-functionality, mysteriously missing code in multiple backups and MV being also on mac, the Tileset Builder is do for a remake... in Java, likely.

How is it 24C in here and I'm still cold? I swear I must be more attuned to outside temp. than inside temp. *shivers and sips hot coffee*

24C, summer? You must be one of those northern people. :p
    taarna23
    taarna23
Don't kid yourself - us "northern people" get some darn toasty summer temps. Upper 30s, into 40s... This summer was just mostly nice to us, not much higher than mid-30s.

Goodness, I was just being silly.
Ugh. I thought I was just sore and tired. Now I think fever. Wish I knew what happened to my thermometer.
I think I just realized how I can handle an important mechanic in my game and I can't try it out because I'm at work. T_T
    FLG'sRetnuh
I know that feel. Maybe try writing it down? Or use it as motivation to get your work done faster so you can go home and try it out?
    taarna23
    taarna23
Lol, can't make time go faster. =P But, I won't need to write it down, plus I want to get the maps for my imported project all fixed up. The ones I've done look AMAZING, even with resized XP tiles. <3
I guess Team Evil is stuck with me and my terrible castle maps...

I don't even know what a nudgie is. It sounds like a cross between a noogie and a wedgie and that sounds quite uncomfortable.

My understanding of the word, I maybe wrong though is that its like a wedgie, but from the front, especially hardcore on male. But I like the idea that it is a cross between a noogie and a wedgie.

To be honest I used it first thinking It referred to wedgie in this post, the lunch money heisthttp://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/46061-lair-of-corruption/page-24#entry465186

I searched a bit after and found out the above interpretation, but yours is better (or actually more awful)
Sigh. I STILL can't get my tileset builder working on a Windows 10 machine that is not my development machine. The pop up message appears but the main window fails.
Interesting. The save map to image feature does not save the map at full size. I just wanted to show it off to my brother. Oh well!
The laaaayeriiiiiinggggg~~! Mapping with XP tiles is so much easier than in Ace!

I'm actually perfectly good with it as is. I wanted to restructure my tilesets, so I'm stuck rebuilding my map, but when done, we'll see how well some of the XP and MV tiles work together.

It's going to be better to make resources for too. B tiles are more fun when they layer.

I bet, even though I'm no artist. It's like a half-step closer to parallaxing while maintaining the efficiency of using tiles.
Piecing together a new XP-sourced tileset for MV and preparing to rebuild my imported maps in a better way. I am so excited!

So I figured out how to put words and pictures in the screen transition. It even wipes away from both the top and bottom. The possibilities are endless! :LZSexcite: I'm going to devise secret messages now for them because I'm a terrible wonderful person like that. :kaopride:
December has arrived and with that, an ¡update for Aletoir Feast! a game made it for the One Map Challenge. I will use some of the remaining switches, variables, and events from the challenge limit to add more content but keep it within the requirements. ¡Have a nice day Everybody!
What I worked on today. :LZSjoy:

No stream today, make a game in MZ is continuing next week!
It seems MOG Weather only has a "clear" function to instantly erase a given weather effect. Probably works well if weather only changes at map transfer, etc, but looks very abrupt if weather effects are continuously changing. So my next challenge: script a "fade" function to gradually fade the sprites and wait to "clear" the current weather until the opacity of all its sprites hits zero... or something like that! XD
