I'm hoping it will be easier for people to understand how to use my new tileset builder. Seems like there's really no nice way to work with graphics you can't include with the program.
Well, Win10 non-functionality, mysteriously missing code in multiple backups and MV being also on mac, the Tileset Builder is do for a remake... in Java, likely.
Sigh. I STILL can't get my tileset builder working on a Windows 10 machine that is not my development machine. The pop up message appears but the main window fails.

decided to have subclasses work differently in my game. They summon in a partner when you select one. this took some work tho as I had to get the class scene to pop up as a common event instead of straight from the menu. it was the only way to add/remove party members while on the menu screens.
