Tonight, I'm going to binge. It's been a rough freakin' week. I need me some fattening foods and funny shows. I hope the rest of you have fantastic weekends!
So... my friend wants me to go over to his place tomorrow. I don't know if I should bring my 360 or my One. Maybe both? I'm kind of getting back into Dragon Age and don't feel like playing cooperative games this weekend.
Well, that's fun. I feel like going out and drinking heavily despite the fact that I don't and never have drank in my entire life. Even my immediate supervisor is frustrated and angry with my boss for the stupidity. I need to game for a bit tonight, I think. Kill some scrubs or something and relieve some stress.
So... Today I was told by my boss that the explanation of "more work = takes longer" is an "excuse". Everyone jokes about their boss having to sleep with whomever hired them.. I'm somewhat hard pressed to think of a different explanation for her being hired as a boss.
Six hour argument with two morons about game design and how Destiny fails pretty spectacularly at even the most basic of game design. I'm done. Seriously, I don't care what they reply anymore. When it devolves into name-calling instead of actual debate... I'm out. Well, back to work on my game!
An idiot just challenged me to name all the flaws in Destiny that prove the devs were "lazy and incompetent". I'm currently wondering if a 4 page list of these things was overboard...
It doesn't become more obvious that players online are huge jerks than when you play "Fight The Dragon" and the user designed maps are basically murder in a cup for any character under level 30.
So.... I quit working on my game today to pick up Dragon Age Origins again. I have a much better Rogue this time around (especially since I used the money/xp exploit in Lothering) and am just now finishing up the Circle questline (again!). I should be in bed, but this needs to be done.
Tonight, I play Halo 4, eat a few steaks (which I'll have to buy a bit later) and work on an "Inn Mechanic" to get players who like story to stay at Inns when possible.
Installed a bridge in my game. Unfortunately for you players, you must be Level 10 for it to even appear. I wish the RTP stuff looked a bit better... Bridges kind of look like crap in RTP.
I was going to work on my game. But, I saw that there was a "Legacy of the Void" annoucement. So, I ended up playing against a bunch of AI in Starcraft II instead. Always tomorrow, I guess...
I think tonight is Walmart Deli night for supper. I need to pick up soda and I'm continuing my break from Dragon Age to get more work done on my game. I'm having a lot of fun coming up with more Quests, Loot, and Lore. Oh, and I thank Counting Crows for inspiring much of my dialogue
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
